We understand your concern for your health and safety in your workplace. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledged Jesus and praying in His name. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can come to the Father God. Let's turn to the Scriptures for guidance and encouragement.
God is our protector and healer. As it is written in Psalm 91:9-11 WEB, "Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your tent. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We can trust that God cares for our well-being and protection. Also let us not forget 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
Regarding your work environment, it is important to remember that God wants us to work honestly and diligently, but also to ensure our safety and the safety of others. Your concern about the use of ethylene oxide is valid, as it is indeed a toxic substance. In situations where our employers or authorities may not be acting in our best interest, we should advocate for our health and safety and not be afraid to make our concerns heard. As shown in Ephesians 6:5-8 "Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men; knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free." We should always remember to work as if for Christ and therefore we should maintain biblical principles to keep ourselves out of harms way.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your protection and guidance. Lord, You know the situation they are facing at their workplace. We ask that You would guard their health and keep them safe from any harmful substances or ill-intentioned people. Give them wisdom to navigate this situation and courage to stand up for their safety and the safety of others.
We also pray for their boss, that You would soften their heart and help them to prioritize the well-being of their employees. Lord, we know that You are sovereign over all things, and we trust that You can bring about change in this situation.
In the meantime, Father, we ask that You would fill our brother/sister with Your peace and blessings. Remind them of Your love and faithfulness, and help them to rest in Your care. Give them patience, endurance, and hope. Thank you for hearing our prayer in Jesus Name, Amen.
Lastly, if you feel that your life may be in danger or that you are unable to advocate for yourself, do not hesitate to contact local authorities or support services and please keep us informed. You are not alone, and there are people who can help you and be sure you are always in our prayers. If there is no change in your situation then we pray that God will guide you to a different job with a more suitable employer.
