Thank you for sharing so honestly about what you are experiencing. The distress you describe is real and painful, and it is good that you have brought it into the light to ask for prayer.
Prayer rests on relationship. Jesus gave a pattern for prayer that begins with knowing God as Father, and that relationship comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. If that foundation is not yet settled, the first and most important prayer is simply, God be merciful to me, a sinner, trusting in what Jesus has done to forgive and make you His child. Once you are His, you can come with confidence as a child to a Father who hears.
When people ask for deliverance, the deepest answer is not a formula that tries to chase darkness away on its own, but asking for the presence and power of Jesus Christ to enter and fill your life. Light and darkness cannot remain together. When Christ is welcomed to rule in your heart and mind and body, the darkness must go. So our prayer for you is not only that torment would leave, but that Jesus would fill every part of you with His light, peace and authority.
The purpose of prayer is not to force our own will or to persuade a reluctant God, but to align our hearts with what God desires to do. True prayer begins with God, He makes His will and love known to us, and we agree with Him and ask Him to accomplish it. For that reason prayer does not need to be long to be real. The prayers recorded in Scripture are often short. What matters is a sincere, fervent cry from the heart. Scripture says the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person, made righteous through Christ, has great power and brings results.
It helps to remember who God is when you pray. He is the Lord who made heaven and earth and all that is in them. He is greater than any spiritual oppression, and even evil spirits are limited by His authority. They are spirit beings and their torment can feel inescapable, but God sets boundaries on what they can do, and those who belong to Him are sealed and kept by Him. You do not need to be overwhelmed by the size of the problem. You can be confident in the size of your Father.
Prayer also does not take the place of wise and responsible steps. Just as prayer and practical watchfulness go together, continue to stay rooted in Scripture, stay connected to faithful believers who can pray with you and support you, and seek appropriate care for your body and mind as needed. Bringing these physical sensations of itching, pain and disturbance to a trusted pastor and to a medical professional for evaluation is a responsible way to care for yourself while you are also seeking the Lord spiritually.
So we pray for you now in the name of Jesus. Father, we ask for Your mercy and grace over this dear one who is suffering. If there is any area where a clear relationship with You through Jesus needs to be settled, draw this person to trust in Christ alone for salvation. Fill this life with the presence and power of Jesus Christ. Let Your light drive out all darkness, and let Your peace guard mind and body. We ask that any torment would be rebuked and removed by Your authority, that You would bring rest, clarity and relief, and accomplish Your good and holy will. We trust You as Creator and Lord over all, and we thank You that You hear and answer according to Your perfect wisdom and love. Amen.
