Disciple of Prayer
Praise the Lord. We have been married for 11 plus years and are expecting a baby in our lives. We had planned for an IVF treatment and have frozen our embryos. We are yet to transfer it in my womb. When I met the doctor last time, she advised me to reduce my weight and coke back. As it is a male-related infertility, I was a little skeptical about the quality of the embryos and happened to discuss the possibility of the adoption of a baby, to which my husband happily agreed. We met a Christian counselor and he straight away said NO to IVF as it is against the church. He spoke more about our intimacy as a couple, which is missing. Should I attend some retreats? I am so heartbroken as I don't know how to go about it. Even my age is running. I am ### and he is ###. I want Jesus to bring us close as we live each other a lot, but the intimacy is missing. I really want to be a mother. Where do I find my answers? I pray to Jesus Christ to touch my womb and bless us both with intimacy for each other and bless us with a child and help us in forgiving each other if we have been drifted away due to any past conversations, situations, thoughts, or emotions. May the Lord clear it as I surrender my wish of becoming a mother to him. Asking for a miracle in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We hear your heart’s cry, dear sister, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. Your desire to be a mother is beautiful and reflects the very heart of God, who delights in the gift of children and the sacred bond of family. Yet we must also lift up the deeper longings in your spirit—the restoration of intimacy with your husband, the healing of past wounds, and the surrender of your dreams to the Lord’s perfect will. Let us seek Him together, trusting that He hears every whisper of your heart.

First, we must address the matter of IVF with both truth and compassion. The counselor you spoke with was right to raise concerns, for Scripture teaches that children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward (Psalm 127:3). The process of IVF often involves the creation of multiple embryos, some of which may not be implanted and are therefore discarded—a practice that does not honor the sanctity of life as God’s sovereign creation. We do not judge your past decisions, for you sought this path in hope and love, but we must now ask the Lord to guide you in a way that aligns with His design. Have you considered that He may have a different path for you, one that does not involve the moral complexities of IVF? We pray for wisdom as you and your husband discern this together, trusting that God’s ways are higher than our own (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Your husband’s openness to adoption is a beautiful reflection of God’s heart, who Himself adopts us as His children through Christ (Ephesians 1:5). Adoption is a holy calling, a way to welcome a child into your family as your own, just as the Lord welcomes us into His. If this is the path the Lord is leading you toward, we rejoice in the miracle of love that awaits you. Yet we also recognize the grief that may come with releasing the dream of a biological child. We pray that the Lord would comfort you in this tension, reminding you that He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

The counselor’s words about your intimacy as a couple must not be overlooked. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:25), and physical intimacy is a gift from God meant to unite husband and wife in love and vulnerability. If this area has grown cold, we must ask the Lord to rekindle the flame, not just for the sake of conceiving a child, but for the sake of your marriage itself. Have you and your husband set aside time to pray together, to speak honestly about your fears and desires, and to seek the Lord as one? We encourage you to attend a Christian marriage retreat, not as a last resort, but as an act of faith—believing that God can restore what has been lost. The Lord is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20), and He delights in healing what is broken.

Your age is not a barrier to God’s timing. Sarah was well beyond childbearing years when she conceived Isaac (Genesis 18:10-14), and Elizabeth was called barren before the Lord blessed her with John the Baptist (Luke 1:7, 24-25). If it is His will for you to bear a child, He will open your womb in His perfect time. But if His plan is different, we pray that He would prepare your heart to receive it with joy. Surrender is not a one-time act; it is a daily choice to trust Him, even when the path is unclear. We rejoice that you have already begun this journey of laying your desire at His feet, for He honors those who seek Him with humility (James 4:10).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of love and compassion for our sister. Lord, You see her tears, You know her longing, and You hold her future in Your hands. We ask that You would draw her and her husband close to You and to one another. Heal the places where intimacy has faded, and restore the joy of their covenant love. Father, we ask for wisdom as they discern the path ahead—whether it be through adoption, a miracle of conception, or another way You have prepared. If IVF is not Your will, give them peace to release it, trusting in Your goodness. If adoption is Your plan, open doors and prepare their hearts to welcome a child with love. Lord, we ask for a miracle in their marriage, that they would forgive one another for any past hurts and walk forward in unity. Touch her womb, if it be Your will, and bless them with a child. But above all, draw them closer to You, that they may know Your love more deeply than ever before. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author of life and the Restorer of all things. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear one. The Lord is working even now, and His timing is perfect. We encourage you to seek Him daily in prayer, to immerse yourself in His Word, and to surround yourself with godly counsel. Attend a retreat, not as a desperate measure, but as an act of faith—believing that God can revive what has grown weary. And remember, whether through birth or adoption, motherhood is a sacred calling, and the Lord delights in your desire to nurture a child. Trust Him, for He is faithful.

We're here with you, sister, as you navigate this journey. We feel your heart's cry and we're lifting you up in prayer. Your desire for motherhood is beautiful, and we believe that God has a plan for you, even if it's not yet clear.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord together with your husband. The intimacy in your marriage is a precious gift, and it's wonderful that you're both open to working on it. Remember, God is not just about the destination, but also about the journey. He wants to heal and restore not just your bodies, but also your hearts and your relationship.

As for the IVF, we understand your hesitation. It's a complex issue, and we're not here to judge, but to pray and guide. We encourage you to seek God's will in this, trusting that He has a purpose and a plan. If IVF is not His will, He will make it clear, and He will guide you to another path, whether it's adoption or a miracle of conception.

We're also praying for peace and wisdom as you both consider these options. We believe that God will give you the strength and courage to face whatever comes next. And remember, no matter what, you are loved and cherished by God. He has a plan for you, and it's good.

Let's keep praying together, sister. We're in this with you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus.

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Pray this prayer look up the verses and pray it again with your friends and family and let's mount up with wings as eagles and soar. Soar with me.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34).
