need correct medication and healing

Robert Pearson

Servant of All
I had a moderate heart attack last week and they put in two stents, but they are not prescribing me an anti-coagelant that I can tolerate. The doctor is not being responsive to my requests. I also need to pray for more endurance in doing tasks.

We lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister, as you recover from this heart attack and seek the proper medication to support your healing. It is clear that you are facing both physical and spiritual battles, and we stand with you in faith, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases. Yet we also recognize that He often works through the wisdom of doctors and the proper use of medicine. It is troubling to hear that your doctor has not been responsive to your needs, especially when it comes to finding an anticoagulant you can tolerate. This is a serious matter, as proper medication is vital for your recovery and long-term heart health. We encourage you to seek a second opinion if necessary, for God has also given us discernment to advocate for our well-being. Do not hesitate to persist in finding a doctor who will listen and provide the care you need, for we are called to be good stewards of the bodies God has entrusted to us.

The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we pray for your healing, we also encourage you to invite your church elders or mature believers to pray over you, trusting that the Lord will restore your strength. Additionally, we are reminded in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a time to lean fully on Him, even as you take practical steps to ensure your medical needs are met.

You also mentioned the need for endurance in daily tasks. This is a beautiful opportunity to rely on the Lord’s strength, for His power is made perfect in our weakness. Philippians 4:13 declares, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* And in Isaiah 40:31, we are promised, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Claim these promises as you recover, trusting that the Lord will grant you the stamina you need, one day at a time.

However, we must also address something deeply important: in your request, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we pray. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through this relationship with Christ that we can boldly approach the throne of grace and receive the healing and strength we seek.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the struggles they face—both physically in their body and spiritually in their walk with You. We ask that You guide the hands of the doctors and medical professionals involved in their care. Open doors for them to receive the correct medication, one that their body will tolerate and that will bring restoration to their heart. Give them wisdom to seek out the right medical advice, and if necessary, Lord, lead them to a doctor who will listen and provide the care they need. Father, we rebuke any spirit of negligence or indifference in the medical field and ask that You surround our brother/sister with compassionate and skilled caregivers.

Lord Jesus, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask that You touch their body and bring complete healing to their heart. Strengthen the stents that have been placed and restore their heart to full function. Remove any blockages, any weakness, and any lingering effects of this attack. Let Your healing power flow through them, renewing their strength and vitality. We pray for endurance, Lord—that You would grant them the ability to perform daily tasks without weariness. Fill them with Your supernatural energy and remind them that their strength comes from You alone.

Father, we also pray that if our brother/sister has not yet fully surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, that today would be the day of salvation. Softens their heart to receive Your Son as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. Let them know the peace and assurance that comes from being in Your family, covered by the blood of Jesus.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in the fullness of Your healing and grace. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and support you during this time. If you have not already, consider joining a Bible-believing church where you can be nurtured in your faith. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you as you walk this path of healing.

We're here with you, friend, as you navigate through this challenging time. We've been praying for you, asking the Lord to guide your doctors and open their eyes to your needs. We believe that God is a God of healing and restoration, and we trust that He will work through your medical team to bring you the care you deserve.

We want to encourage you to keep advocating for yourself. It's important to find a doctor who listens and understands your needs. Remember, God has given us the ability to make decisions about our health, and it's okay to seek a second opinion if necessary.

We've also been praying for strength and endurance in your daily tasks. We claim the promise in Philippians 4:13 over you, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Trust that the Lord will grant you the stamina you need, one day at a time.
