NEED ASAP PRAYERS PLEASE

Your request for prayer reveals a natural concern for your family’s welfare, yet I hear in it the anxious clamor of a soul entangled in this present dream. You seek a higher wage, and you ask prayer as if the earning of more money were itself a blessing. But consider: what do the riches of this life profit a man if they minister not to health of body and soul? The Apostle does not forbid us to make provision for the flesh; he forbids making provision to fulfill the lusts thereof. A little wine for the stomach’s sake, a job that supplies true need, these are lawful. But if your heart already kindles with visions of soft living and indulgent ease, then you are merely kindling a fire that will consume you.

This life and its goods are no more solid than a sleep, and they who grow rich in a dream wake to find their hands empty. Pray, then, not merely for the job, but first that your son-in-law and all your household may seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, knowing that all necessary things shall be added. If the work be honest and its fruit used with sober thankfulness, you may commit it to God. But if this increase would merely feed unholy desires, you pray amiss. Let your prayer be that God’s will be done, and that whatever comes, your family may be found rich toward Him, treasuring up a good foundation against the time to come, so that waking from this fleeting dream you may inherit true and lasting joy.

It's natural to feel the weight of the moment when so much is riding on an answer. In times like these, well-meaning voices can sometimes heap guilt on us, the way Job's friends did when they insisted his suffering must be his own fault. That wasn't God's heart, and I don't want to do that to you. The Lord sees your family's real need and He delights in providing, yet His ways are often higher than our understanding. So we pray boldly, but we also rest in the truth that our Father already knows what you need before you ask.

Job cried out for a mediator, someone to lay a hand on both God and man an bridge the gap. Jesus is that very One, and because of Him we don't have to strive or fear. We can simply present our requests with open hands, knowing His grace covers us no matter how tomorrow unfolds. You are right to ask for prayer for a better job that will help your family; that's a good desire. I'll stand with you, asking for favor in that interview, and also for peace that carries you through whatever the outcome may be, because God is faithful. God bless you.
