Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me as I have an interview with the County on August 31st at 3pm PST for a Senior Internal Auditor position! I’m praying that God goes before me, gives me confidence, wisdom, and peace during the interview, and that I make a strong impression on the panel. Most importantly, please pray that if this is the right opportunity for me, God opens the door and allows me to receive the position. 🙏❤️

We stand with you in faith, lifting your interview for the ### position to the Lord. It is wonderful that you are seeking God’s guidance and trusting Him to go before you. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that you will fully rely on Him as you prepare and step into this opportunity.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You grant our brother/sister wisdom, clarity, and confidence as they interview for this position. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and we ask that if this job is Your will for them, You would open the door wide and make their path clear. Give them the words to speak, the presence of mind to answer with discernment, and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Let Your favor rest upon them, and may the interview panel see the excellence, integrity, and professionalism that You have placed within them. If this is not the right opportunity, we pray that You would close the door gently and lead them to the place You have prepared. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt in Jesus’ name.

We also encourage you to meditate on Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Lean into the Lord’s strength, not your own, and remember that He has equipped you for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17). Prepare well, but also rest in the knowledge that God is in control. We will continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that the Lord will direct your steps according to His perfect plan.

May the peace of God guard your heart and mind as you wait on Him. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are glad you reached out and we are praying with you for your interview on ### at ### for the Senior Internal Auditor position with the County.

We hear how much this opportunity means to you, and your desire for God to go before you is a good place to rest. We are asking Him to give you clear thinking, calm confidence, and real peace that day, so you can listen well, answer with wisdom, and leave a strong and honest impression on the panel. Above all we join you in praying for His will to be clear, that if this is the right fit He would open the door, and if not that He would guide you to what is next.

In these last days before the interview, one simple thing that often helps is to choose two or three examples from your past work that show your skill and integrity as an auditor and practice saying them out loud in a brief, straightforward way. That, plus good rest the night before and arriving a little early, can help you feel settled and focused.

Father, we lift our brother to You today. Go before him into that interview room, steady his heart, give him clarity of mind and words, and let Your peace guard him. We ask for favor with the panel and for Your direction over this position. Lead him to the work You have for him and provide for his needs as only You can. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request concerning your interview with the County on August 31st at 3pm PST for the Senior Internal Auditor position has been brought before the Lord and we join you in prayer with a willing heart.

We pray that the Lord who goes before His people will go before you in that hour, and that He will grant you confidence not in yourself but in Him, wisdom that comes from above, and that perfect peace which is kept for those whose mind is stayed upon Him because they trust in Him. Remember that the thoughts of the Lord toward His own are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give an expected end, and that His purpose shall stand. Though men may search as miners for treasure, true wisdom is found only in the fear of the Lord and in simple faith in Jesus Christ, and a grain of Divine grace is of more worth than a ton of worldly knowledge. Rest therefore not upon your own preparation alone, though you should prepare diligently, but upon the Lord who gives wisdom liberally and who keeps His children in grateful calm even when duties press and hearts are anxious.

We have prayed for you in this way, that the Lord would still your heart, clear your mind, and give you words seasoned with grace and truth before the panel, that you may speak with honesty, humility and sound judgment, and make a faithful impression. And we have asked, as you have asked, that if this door is the one which the Lord in His wise providence would have open for your good and for His glory, He would open it and no man shall shut it, and if it is not His best for you, that He would in His mercy close it and guide you to the place He has appointed. His wheels of providence grind more accurately than all our calculations, and He withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly.

May the Lord grant you to cast your care upon Him, to do your part faithfully in the interview, and to leave the outcome in His faithful hands, trusting the blood of Jesus Christ which alone gives peace within and the Spirit who alone gives rest in doing the will of Jesus.

We commend you to His keeping and will continue to remember you on that day. May the Lord be your strength and your peace, and may His will be done in your life for your highest good. Amen.

We pray that He will help you to speak clearly, to answer with wisdom, and to reflect the diligence and integrity He has worked in you, so that you make a strong and honest impression.

We also pray above all that His will be done. If this position is the right opportunity for you in this season, we ask that He would open the door and grant you favor. May you rest in His care in the days leading up to the interview, knowing that your confidence is not in yourself alone but in Him who goes with you. We will continue to pray for peace for you, for clarity for the panel, and for God's good direction for your next steps.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our peace. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this request and allowing me to pray with you about this interview. I am bringing you before the Lord and asking Him to go before you, to give you confidence, wisdom and peace, and to guide every part of this process according to His will.

Your desire for God to open the door only if this is the right opportunity is a good and trusting prayer. Scripture shows us that God is fair and just, and that He sees and knows each of us fully. Long ago the story of Job reminds us that while Job could not see what was happening behind the scenes, God was fully aware of his situation and was at work even when it felt as though God had turned away. That same truth remains for us today. Cultures and times have changed, but the deepest needs of the human heart and the questions we carry are the same, and God has not changed in His care for His people.

The background of Job also shows us that God knew Job intimately and valued his trust and reverence. The adversary had studied Job and claimed he only served God for blessing, yet God knew the reality of Job's heart. In the same way, God knows your heart, your diligence, your needs, and this opportunity you are seeking. Nothing about your situation is hidden from Him, and He is able to place a hedge of protection and guidance around you.

When Job suffered, his friends tried to explain his pain with harsh judgments and offered little real comfort. Their words only added confusion. What Job truly needed, and what we all need, is someone who can stand between God and us and bring us near to Him. That need is met in Jesus Christ, who alone makes it possible for us to come before God with confidence, to be heard, and to be forgiven and helped. Because of Him, you can come boldly before the throne of grace and ask for help in this very practical need.

So I am praying that God will steady your heart as you prepare and as you sit before the panel. May He give you clarity of thought, calmness under pressure, and words that reflect both your skill and your integrity. May He give you peace that does not depend on the outcome, because your confidence is rooted in reverence for Him rather than in any single result. And may He make His will clear, opening this door if it is His best for you, and guiding you to what is right if it is not.

Whatever the outcome, take comfort that God is working for your good even when you cannot see all that He is doing. Trust Him to lead you step by step, and to provide what you need in His perfect wisdom and timing.

May the Lord grant you His peace and guidance in the days ahead, and may you sense His presence with you in that interview room.
