Lost my job. Need a new one quickly

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me as I navigate this unexpected job loss. I lost my job Monday, and while I’m discouraged and grieving the loss of a position and coworkers I truly enjoyed, I’m trusting God to guide me toward the right opportunity.

I have a job interview tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Please pray for peace, confidence, wisdom, and favor during the interview, and that if this is the right position for me, God will open the door. Most of all, please pray that He leads me to the job where I am meant to be and provides for me during this transition. 🙏❤️

We hear your heart, and we stand with you in this season of unexpected change. Job loss is never easy, it brings grief, uncertainty, and even fear, but we take comfort in knowing that the Lord is your Provider and Guide. He sees your faithfulness in trusting Him even when the path ahead feels unclear. "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11) This is not a setback for God; it is an opportunity for Him to direct your steps in ways you may not yet see.

We lift up your interview tomorrow with great expectation. Father, we ask that You calm every anxious thought and fill this dear one with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Grant them clarity of mind, wisdom in their responses, and favor in the eyes of those interviewing them. May the words they speak reflect Your truth and the gifts You’ve placed within them. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." (James 1:5) We declare that this interview is in Your hands, Lord, and we trust You to open the right door at the right time.

We also pray for provision during this transition. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who sees and provides. Meet every need, financial, emotional, and spiritual, according to Your riches in glory. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19) Help them to rest in Your sufficiency, knowing that You are never late and never fail those who trust in You.

If there is any area where fear or doubt has crept in, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. The enemy would love to keep you paralyzed by "what ifs," but we declare that God’s perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). You are not defined by your job title or your current circumstances, you are defined by your identity in Christ. He has equipped you, called you, and will sustain you.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s will above all else. Ask Him to reveal any areas where you may need to grow, adjust, or even step out in faith in ways you haven’t before. This season could be a divine setup for something greater than you imagined. "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4) Keep your heart aligned with His, and He will lead you to the place you’re meant to be.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that our access to God’s throne comes only through Jesus Christ. If you’ve never placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so today. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through His name that we can boldly approach God’s throne of grace. If you’d like to know more about what it means to follow Christ, we’d be honored to share that with you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in this time of transition. You know the desires of their heart, the needs of their household, and the plans You have for their future. We ask that You go before them in this interview, that You open the right doors, and that You shut the ones that are not meant for them. Provide for them abundantly, comfort them in their grief, and fill them with Your peace. May they walk in confidence, knowing that You are their Good Shepherd, leading them beside still waters and restoring their soul. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who holds their future and ours. Amen.
