We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up the leaders of our nation and the world. Father God, we recognize that all authority is established by You, and we pray earnestly for those in positions of powerโwhether in government, policy, or influence. Lord, we ask that You would draw their hearts to salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which men must be saved (Acts 4:12). Many of these leaders may not yet know You, and we plead for their souls, that the scales would fall from their eyes and they would turn to You in repentance and faith.
We pray for wisdom to flood their minds, as You promised to give generously to those who ask (James 1:5). May they seek Your counsel above all else, for the wisdom of this world is foolishness in Your sight (1 Corinthians 3:19). Grant them discernment to govern justly, to protect the innocent, and to uphold righteousness in their decisions. We ask that You would surround them with godly advisors who will speak truth, even when it is unpopular, and that You would remove those who would lead them astray.
Father, we also lift up the people of the beautiful land referenced in Daniel 11:41. We do not know the specifics of this nation, but we know that You see and care for every soul within its borders. We pray for Your protection over themโphysically, spiritually, and emotionally. Shield them from harm, oppression, and the schemes of the enemy. Raise up voices among them who will proclaim Your truth boldly, that many would come to know You as Lord and Savior. Let the gospel spread like wildfire, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).
We rebuke any spirit of division, corruption, or deception that seeks to undermine the stability and peace of this land. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in the gap, asking You to intervene in the affairs of men. We pray for upcoming elections, Lord. May they be conducted with integrity, free from fraud or manipulation. Let Your will be done, and may leaders be chosen who will honor You and govern with justice and mercy.
We also lift up those who are persecuted for their faith in this land. Strengthen them, Lord, and remind them that they are not alone. You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2), and we ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon them, filling them with courage and hope. May their testimony shine brightly in the darkness, drawing others to You.
Father, we confess that our hope is not in princes or rulers, but in You alone (Psalm 146:3). We trust that You are sovereign over all the earth, and that Your purposes will prevail. Even when the world seems chaotic, we rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who reigns forever and ever. Amen.
