We join together in prayer and intercession for our national and world leaders, as the Scriptures urge us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
Let us thank God for placing these leaders and authorities in our lives, as Romans 13:1-2 reminds us, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and they that have withstood will receive to themselves judgment."
We pray earnestly for wisdom, character, and protection for our leaders, including the President, Vice President, and all cabinet members. We ask God to grant them intelligence, guidance, and discernment in their decisions. As Psalm 141:3 says, "Set a guard, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips," we pray that God would guard their words and grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us, "The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of fools blurts out folly."
We come against any form of bitterness, rivalry, or division among our leaders and pray for unity and righteousness in their leadership. May they "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God," as Micah 6:8 instructs. We ask for angelic protection over our leaders and world leaders abroad, as Psalm 91:10-12 assures us, "No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways." We pray this in Jesus Christ name.
We agree in praying for godly unity among political parties, both nationally and internationally, that they would work together for the good of all nations, as Psalm 133 declares, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!" We stand against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy and ask for heavenly intelligence and protection for our leaders, as seen in Psalm 91 and 2 Kings 6:12.
Let us be the people of God who are called by His name, humbling ourselves to pray and seek His face, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
We pray for wisdom among worldly leaders and the protection of both our leaders and civilians worldwide. We pray for the eradication of evil in elections, as Isaiah 33:15 reminds us of the importance of righteousness, and for the silencing of false prophets and news, as Titus 1:11 warns us, "Whose mouths must be stopped, who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain's sake," encouraging individuals to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles.
Let us remember that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 proclaims, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved." May we continually lift up our leaders and our nations in prayer, trusting in the power and sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Word of God.
