We lift up our hearts together in fervent prayer for our national, world, church, and civic leaders, standing on the truth of God’s Word. First of all, we urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

Father, we come before You as Your children, acknowledging that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are reconciled to You. We pray that all leaders, whether in government, the military, the church, or civic roles, would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth, that they may govern with wisdom, humility, and a desire to honor You.

We pray for godly wisdom to be poured out upon them, that they may discern Your will and act in ways that align with Your Word. Grant them loyal and courageous advisors, like David’s mighty men, who will stand firm in righteousness and protect them from harm (2 Samuel 23:23). Surround them with Your heavenly hosts, Lord, that no evil may befall them, and command Your angels to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:10-11). Give them supernatural insight, as You gave Elisha, to perceive the schemes of the enemy before they unfold, that they may thwart wicked plans and expose deception (2 Kings 6:12).

Father, we ask for the strengthening of godly alliances among free nations, that they may stand together in truth, justice, and righteousness. Raise up leaders who will champion free speech, a free press, and the unobstructed proclamation of the Gospel, for how will they hear without a preacher? (Romans 10:14). Let the light of Your truth shine brightly in the darkness, that many may repent and turn to You. We pray against the influence of evil alliances, false teachings, and persecution, that Your Word would prevail and Your Kingdom would advance.

We lift up the leaders of our own nation, the President, his family, cabinet members, senators, representatives, Supreme Court justices, generals, and all in authority. We pray for their salvation, protection, and wisdom. May they be as channels of water in Your hand, directed by Your sovereign will (Proverbs 21:1). We thank You for the leaders You have placed in power, acknowledging that there is no authority except from You (Romans 13:1). We ask that You would guide them, bless them when they seek Your ways, and correct them when they stray. Let Your loving-kindness and truth go before them, and may they lead in a manner that fosters peace, godliness, and dignity for all people.

Lord, we confess that You are working all things according to the counsel of Your will (Ephesians 1:11). You sit in the heavens and do whatever You please (Psalm 115:3), and we trust that You are orchestrating history for Your glory. Thwart the plans of the wicked, Lord, and let Your purposes stand (Psalm 33:10-11). We submit ourselves to You, resist the devil, and stand firm in the armor of God, truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-20). Protect us, our leaders, and all Your people from the schemes of the enemy, for we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We pray for the beautiful land You have entrusted to us, that it would be a beacon of Your glory and a place where Your people may dwell in safety (Daniel 11:41). Save the lost, bless the faithful, and guide us all, for You reign as Lord God Almighty (Revelation 19:6). We give You thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, who is and who was and who is to come, because You have taken Your great power and begun to reign (Revelation 11:17).

Father, we offer these prayers with thanksgiving, trusting that You hear us. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we are saved. Amen.

We hear the weight in this, and we are grateful for it. These are not small prayers, but they matter deeply. When a burden feels this wide, it can help to narrow it into small, steady acts of intercession. Maybe choose a few specific leaders by name each week, one in government, one in the military, one in the church, and hold them before the Lord daily. That turns a vast concern into something faithful and ongoing.

There is also something steadying about praying this way whether or not we personally agree with every leader. It keeps our hearts soft, humble, and dependent on God rather than on our own opinions. We are asking Him to do what only He can do: save, protect, guide, expose what is hidden, and raise up what is good. That is not beyond Him, and He does not grow weary of being asked.

Father, thank You for every person who carries leaders before Your throne in prayer. Grant wisdom, protection, and salvation to those in authority across nations, churches, and armed forces. Guard those who serve in dangerous or hidden places. Give them clarity, humility, and courage to do what is right. Preserve free speech and truthful press, protect the land and its people, and bless the nations with peace. Guide every leader by Your sovereign hand, and draw many to Jesus Christ. In His name we pray. Amen.

You have laid before us a great and weighty matter, and it is good that the saints should take up the burden of intercession for all who bear rule, for the apostle would have us first of all to make prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all men, for kings and for all that are in authority. This is a duty from which no provocation may exempt us, for whether we like them or not, the Lord hath set them in their places for a season, and we are to pray that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

There is no power like that of intercession. The secret springs that move the puppets of earth, for kings and princes are often little more than that, are the prayers of God's believing people. Let us therefore not cease to pray for presidents, prime ministers, senators, judges, generals, and pastors, for God can turn their hearts as rivers of water. He can give them wisdom such as Elisha had to discern the counsels of the enemy, and He can set a hedge of angelic protection about them if it pleaseth Him. Yet He doth not always do so, for His ways are not ours, and His wisdom is unsearchable. We must leave the manner of their deliverance to Him, for He knoweth what is best.

But let us remember that the Holy Spirit alone can teach us to pray aright, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought. The Spirit maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. If our prayers are to prevail for kings and governors, they must be born of the Spirit, grounded in the truth, and offered through the mediation of Jesus Christ. There is no other name given under heaven whereby men must be saved, and if we desire the salvation of the chief magistrates, we must proclaim to them the free and full pardon that is in Christ's blood. The intercession of the Spirit is not for the world, but for the saints, yet we are to pray for the world's conversion, that the gospel may have free course and be glorified.

I am glad that you have asked for the protection of the free press and the furtherance of free speech, for these are useful channels for the gospel. Yet let us not put our trust in chariots and horses, nor in the liberty of the press, but in the Lord our God. The best freedom is that which Christ giveth, for if the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Let us pray that rulers may be brought to the knowledge of this truth, for free speech without free grace is but a sounding brass, and a free press without a free pardon is but paper and ink. True wisdom is not the wisdom of this world, which is carnal, sensual, devilish, but the wisdom that is from above, which is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated.

As for the worst of them, we may pray that they be saved, for the same free grace that saved Saul of Tarsus, the persecutor, can save a president or a prime minister who is now an enemy of the cross. We are all guilty, some more, some less, but all hopelessly guilty without Christ. There is a free, full, present, everlasting pardon for all penitents who now confess their sins and put their trust in Christ. Let us press this gospel upon the great of the earth, that they may bow the knee and kiss the Son, lest He be angry and they perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little.

Let us follow the example of Samuel, who said, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you. Even when the people had slighted him and provoked him, he persevered in intercession. So let us pray for the worst of our leaders, that the worst may be saved, the best may be blessed, and all may be guided. We are not to bless their iniquity, nor to ask God to prosper a course that is contrary to His holy word, for that would be to ask amiss. But we are to pray for their persons, their souls, their families, and their fitness for the great account they must give. The Lord is no respecter of persons, and He will not be mocked by a pretended piety that leaves the heart uncleansed.

We thank God for every leader who endeavours to be honest and whose ways are ordered by the fear of the Lord, and we confess that the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. He hath taken His great power and doth reign. He raiseth up and He setteth down, and He putteth down one and setteth up another. Let us therefore pray without ceasing, for prayer is the battle, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church that is mighty in supplication. In all our intercessions let us remember that Christ, who is in us, is greater than he that is in the world, and that the free grace which saved the harlot and the publican can save the proudest potentate, if the Lord will but speak the word.

So let us take up the burden afresh, with all perseverance and supplication for all saints, and for the salvation of rulers, the protection of the land, the liberty of the gospel, and the peace of Jerusalem. For we know that if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer according to 1 Timothy 2 is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. We join you in offering petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings for all in authority, whether we favor them or not, for presidents and governors and parliaments, for judges and generals and those who serve, and for pastors and spiritual leaders here and throughout the world, that we may lead peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity.

We pray that God will grant to these leaders not the wisdom of this world nor the wisdom of its rulers which is coming to nothing, but the wisdom that is from above. The true wisdom is the gospel itself, the message of salvation through the cross of Christ. The world through its own wisdom did not know God, and God was pleased through what the world calls foolishness, the preaching of the cross, to save those who believe. So we ask that leaders may receive that wisdom, that they may know Christ who alone is the way of salvation, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and that they may govern with humility, justice and restraint.

We also join you in asking for protection for those in authority and for their households, for loyal and faithful helpers, for angelic guarding as Psalm 91 promises, and for exposure of every hidden counsel of evil. We pray that God who frustrates the plans of the wicked and who works all things after the counsel of His will would thwart what is evil and turn the hearts of rulers like channels of water in His hand. We pray for the fostering of godly alliances among free peoples and for the diminishing of evil alignments, and for the preservation of free speech and a free press, not as an end in itself, but so that the gospel of Jesus the true Messiah and all He commanded may be freely proclaimed, leading to repentance and the making of disciples in every nation.

We thank God for every leader who seeks to act honestly and according to His truth, and we continue to pray even for those who do not, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. That salvation is near and is received in a short word, that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Let us not put off this great gift, but receive it and call others to receive it while there is time.

May the Lord grant you perseverance in prayer, clothe you with His armor, and let the peace of God guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus as you continue to intercede with thanksgiving.
