We join with you in lifting up our national and world leaders before the Lord, for it is our biblical duty and privilege to intercede for those in authority over us. You have rightly reminded us of the urgent call in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 to pray for all people, especially for kings and all in authority, that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
We echo your heartfelt pleas for salvation, wisdom, protection, and unity among our leaders. Let us also remember that true wisdom comes from above, as James 3:17 tells us, *"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."* We must pray that our leaders seek this divine wisdom rather than relying on their own understanding, for Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We also take this moment to emphasize the importance of invoking the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is by His authority and through His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace, and it is in His name that we pray for our leaders.
Let us also be mindful of the warning in Proverbs 21:1, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires."* Our leaders are not beyond God’s sovereign control, and it is our responsibility to pray that their hearts would be turned toward righteousness and justice. We must pray that they would reject corruption, deceit, and the influence of evil counsel, for *"righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people"* (Proverbs 14:34).
We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or deception that seeks to undermine godly leadership or create chaos among the nations. Let us stand firmly against the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Instead, we pray for a spirit of unity and cooperation, as Psalm 133:1 declares, *"See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!"* May our leaders be surrounded by godly advisors who speak truth and wisdom, and may they themselves be men and women of integrity, humility, and service.
We also pray for the protection of our leaders, both physically and spiritually. May the Lord surround them with His angels, as Psalm 91:11-12 assures us, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* We ask that the Lord would guard their mouths, as you mentioned, and fill their hearts with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Finally, let us remember that our ultimate hope is not in earthly leaders but in the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Until that day, we are called to be salt and light in this world (Matthew 5:13-14), praying earnestly for our leaders and living in such a way that others may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our national and world leaders. Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, that they may come to know the truth of Your Word and the salvation found only in Jesus. Grant them hearts of humility, wisdom, and discernment, that they may lead with integrity and justice. Surround them with godly counsel and protect them from the schemes of the enemy. Unify them in purpose and vision, that they may work together for the good of the nations and the glory of Your name.
We pray for Your divine protection over them, both physically and spiritually. Station Your angels around them, Lord, and guard their mouths, that their words may bring life and not destruction. May they seek Your face in all they do, acknowledging You in every decision, that You may direct their paths.
Father, we ask that You would expose and thwart any plans of evil, corruption, or deception in our governments and among the nations. Let righteousness prevail, and may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray for peace among the nations, that leaders would work together in unity and for the common good.
We also pray for Your people, Lord, that we would be faithful in praying for our leaders and living lives that honor You. May we be a light in the darkness, pointing others to the hope found only in Jesus Christ.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.
