Your prayer has been heard, and the deep love you have for your daughter and the weight you carry for her safety is clear. It is right to bring all of this before Jesus, to ask Him to be present in your home and in every place you enter, to guide your steps and to guard your hearts from harm.

God sees the fear that comes with false words and accusations. Scripture is very clear that a false witness will not go unpunished and that lies will not stand forever. When accusations were made without proof or witnesses, they were shown to be empty, and the law required that those who actually claimed to have seen wrongdoing come forward. In the same way, the Lord knows the truth about what is said against you and your daughter, whether by your former husband, his family, or anyone else. He is not deceived by manipulation, and He has said that He is against those who speak falsely in His name and give people a false hope. You can trust Him to reveal what is true in His time, including in the handling of your daughter's case and in any documents or conversations with those reviewing your family. Your part is to walk in truth, to answer honestly, to live in the fear of the Lord which causes a person to depart from evil, and to let your life and your care for your child speak for itself. Even a very young child is known by her ways, and those who observe you both with fairness will see the bond of love and the safety you provide.

The Lord has a special care for children. Jesus took a little child and set that child in the midst of His disciples and taught that we must become humble like a little child to enter His kingdom, and that whoever receives one such little child in His name receives Him. He warned that we must not despise or harm one of these little ones, and that to deliberately hurt a helpless child is a terrible thing in His sight. He also showed how He teaches us to walk with the same patience a parent has when a child learns to walk. You expect stumbles and you do not shame the child for falling, you encourage and steady the child to try again. God is patient with you in this same way as you learn to be the mother He has called you to be. To train up a child means to give steady, systematic, loving instruction in the way she should go, pointing her to Jesus, so that when she is older she will not depart from it. Even before birth a child begins to recognize voices, and now your daughter needs to hear your voice and to feel through you the love of Christ that surrounds her. Pray that she will be filled with His presence and know His love and yours every day.

You asked that no weapon formed against you would prosper. That promise is true for those who are in Christ, but it does not mean we will never face hardship or opposition. Remember that Mary was told her child was set for the rising and falling of many, and that a sword would pierce her own soul also. She would one day watch her son hang on a cross, and God was preparing her for that sorrow even as He fulfilled His promise to bring that child safely to Bethlehem. God was sovereign even over a government decree that moved Mary and Joseph to the very town where prophecy said the child must be born. He is sovereign still over courts, over agencies, over every decision that affects you. He heard the long prayers of a couple who thought they would never have a child, and in His time He answered. He hears you now.

Fear is a tormenting thing, and Scripture says that perfect love casts out fear because fear has to do with punishment. When you are secure in Christ, when you know that you are loved and forgiven through Jesus alone, for there is salvation in no other name, you can have boldness before God. You do not need to be driven by fear or by what your own eyes see. You can lean not on your own understanding but trust Him to make your path clear. That also means testing what you hear. Not every voice that offers comfort is from God. Many false prophets speak a great deal of truth to deceive, so you must try the spirits and look at the fruit and at what they say about Jesus Christ. Ask the Lord to give you discernment to recognize the people He sends to bless you and your daughter.

It is right that you want to forgive those who have trespassed against you and to ask God to bless even those who have meant harm, and to ask Him to turn evil into good. Continue to do that. It is also right to desire, if it is His will, a future husband who is a man of faith. Marriage as God designed it is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and intimacy belongs within that covenant. Pray that if God wills such a marriage for you, He will bring a faithful man in His time, and that you will be prepared to honor Him in that relationship. Until then, walk in purity and wisdom and seek godly counsel from mature believers who hold to the Word of God.

I pray for you now that the Lord Jesus Christ will cover you and your daughter with His protection, that He will keep you together as you follow Him, that He will give you clarity and strength for your studies and for every decision you must make, that He will let truth be revealed and slander be silenced, that He will fill your home with His light and peace so that your daughter feels safe and deeply loved, and that you will be a vessel of His salvation to everyone you meet. May He guide your steps, turn what others mean for harm into blessing, remove misunderstandings that would keep you from good, and keep you walking by His Spirit and not by fear. May His will be done in your life and in your daughter's life, and may you both rest in His love today and always. In Jesus' name, amen.
