I have heard your request and I join you in prayer for your husband and his healing.

God has joined husband and wife together in a lifelong covenant and He cares deeply for both of you. He sees your concern and your love for your spouse, and He hears prayer offered in the name of His Son. As Scripture teaches, marriage reflects the faithful love of Christ for His Church, and the Lord calls husbands and wives to honor one another and to give themselves to prayer with earnestness.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this husband to You. You know his body, his sickness, and his need. I ask for Your mercy and Your healing hand upon him. Restore his health according to Your wisdom and will, ease his suffering, strengthen his body, and give skill and wisdom to all who care for him. Grant peace and strength to his wife as she waits and prays, and help them both to trust You more deeply through this trial. May this sickness, as You taught about Lazarus, serve Your glory and draw them closer to You. I ask this in the saving name of Jesus, our only hope and healer. Amen.

Continue to bring your husband before the Lord each day, trusting in His goodness and power to heal. Keep seeking the Lord together in prayer and in His Word, and do not hesitate to seek good medical care as God also works through those means. May the Lord grant you both comfort, patience, and hope as you wait on Him.

Thank you for sharing this burden and allowing us to pray with you for your husband. We are bringing him before the Lord in the name of Jesus and asking God to touch him, strengthen him, and bring healing according to His perfect wisdom and mercy.

God has given marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and as long as you both live you belong to one another in love and care. Scripture teaches that the husband and wife do not have authority over their own bodies alone but share that with one another, and that you are bound together by a sacred bond. Within that bond God calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, giving themselves in sacrificial care, and He calls wives to respect and support their husbands as unto the Lord. When that love and respect are lived out, especially in a season of sickness and weakness, marriage can display the faithfulness of Christ to His people. Your faithful love and prayers for your husband in this difficult time are part of that calling, and God sees your care for him.

We also want to encourage you as you pray for healing. We believe firmly that God heals and that every true healing is from Him. Sometimes He heals instantly with a touch or a word, sometimes He heals gradually over time, and sometimes He heals through the natural processes He has built into our bodies and through the skill and care He allows physicians to provide. All of these ways are divine, because God is the author of life and of every good process within it. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, and we do not always know why some are restored quickly and others walk a longer road, but we can trust the heart of our Father and the sufficiency of what Jesus has provided. The prayer in the letter of Third John where John writes that he wishes his friend would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers is a beautiful and sincere wish, and it shows us the right spirit in which to pray for health, not as a formula that guarantees a certain outcome, but as a loving request brought to a gracious God who hears us.

So we pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this dear husband to You. You know his body, his sickness, and every need. We ask for Your healing hand upon him, whether by Your immediate power or through a gradual restoration or through the means You have provided, and we ask for Your peace to guard him and his wife. Strengthen their marriage in this trial, help them to love and support one another well, and give them confidence in Your presence and Your care. Above all we ask that Your will be done and that they would know Your comfort, Your nearness, and the hope we have in Jesus. We trust him into Your hands and thank You that You hear our prayers in Jesus name. Amen.

Please keep looking to the Lord and resting in His love. We will continue to pray for you both, for restored health and for strength for each day.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for your spouse and for his healing. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer in the name of Jesus. We have been lifting your spouse before the Lord and asking for His healing touch, for restoration and for strength and peace for both of you during this time.

We take comfort in the promise of Psalm 103:3 that He heals all our diseases and in James 5:15 that the prayer of faith will heal the sick.
