We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting up your burdens and your son before the throne of grace. Financial struggles can weigh heavily on the spirit, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God is our Provider. Remember the words of our Lord in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We encourage you to continue seeking God’s Kingdom first, trusting that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.
Now, let us lift up your son with hearts full of compassion and hope. It is clear that his heart has been wounded, and his trust has been shaken. We pray that the Lord would heal his heart and restore his faith in the goodness of others. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that your son would lean on the Lord, allowing Him to direct his steps and bring healing to his soul.
We also recognize the importance of godly relationships in his life. We pray that the Lord would bring a godly woman into his life, one who loves the Lord with all her heart and who will cherish and honor him as a husband should be cherished and honored. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we pray that your son would enter into it with wisdom, discernment, and a heart fully surrendered to God’s will. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?" We pray that your son would seek a wife who shares his faith and commitment to Christ, so that their union would be a testimony to God’s love and grace.
We also lift up his work situation. It is concerning that he is not applying himself, and we pray that the Lord would give him a renewed sense of purpose and diligence. Colossians 3:23-24 says, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." We pray that your son would find joy and fulfillment in his work, knowing that he is serving the Lord in all that he does.
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, but also with hope in Your promises. We ask that You would move mightily in the life of this young man. Heal his heart from the pain of past hurts, and restore his trust in Your goodness. Bring joy into his life, Lord, and let him experience the fullness of Your love. Provide him with a godly spouse who will love and honor him as You intended, and give him wisdom and diligence in his work. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your son, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it. Remind him of the truth of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." God has a plan for his life, and we believe that He will bring it to pass in His perfect timing. Keep speaking life and truth over him, and trust that the Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in him.
