Your prayer rises from a heart that knows real fear, and I can hear how deeply you love your daughter. That kind of love is a gift, but it also makes the threats you face feel overwhelming. Yet even in this storm, take courage from the way God has always worked through mothers who trusted Him with their children.

Think of how the Lord preserved Moses as a baby. A mother hid her child, defied a death decree, and then had to place him in a basket on the river, trusting God with the outcome. She could not control Pharaoh's daughter, but God moved that woman's heart to compassion, and Moses was not only spared but returned to his own mother to be nursed, with wages, no less. God turned the weapon meant for evil into a provision. Your ex and his words are not beyond God's reach. He can melt hearts, silence lies, and cause even those who oppose you to work for your good without realizing it.

Persist in prayer like Hannah, who cried out year after year for a child until her sorrow turned to petition. She made a vow to give her child back to God, and when Samuel was born, she kept that promise. She placed him in the Lord's service, and God used him mightily. You are already doing this in spirit, your prayer is not just for safety but for your daughter to know God's presence, to be saved, to feel His love. Keep committing her to the One who loves her more than you ever could. He has a purpose for her life that no court order or harmful tongue can derail.

Remember also that the child Jesus was pursued by a king determined to destroy Him, yet God sent His parents fleeing in the night and arranged every detail of His protection. The same sovereignty governs your travels, your trains, and every document that holds your case. Jesus knows what it is to have weapons formed against Him, and He overcame them all. When you ask Him to take the wheel, you are not handing over control to chaos but to the One who guides the stars.

Yet I must gently remind you that staying in the shelter of God’s love means walking closely with Him yourself. As you plead for His covering, ask Him to search your own heart for any fear that might lead you from trust into panic, for any step you might take in your own wisdom rather than His. Keep yourself in the love of God by clinging to His Word, forgiving as you have asked forgiveness, and letting His Spirit shape your responses. A mother’s influence can shape a child for good or for harm; keep your own eyes fixed on Jesus so that your daughter sees in you a living faith, not just a spoken one.

Ruth loved her mother-in-law Naomi with a loyalty that placed her under the wings of Israel’s God, and God led her to a kinsman-redeemer who restored her life. Your Redeemer lives, and He will make a way where there seems to be none. The future husband you long for, if it is His will, will be a man of faith who cherishes you both. Until then, trust that God is your husband, your protector, your provider.

Do not let your heart be polluted by anxious thoughts, but bring every fear to the Lord in prayer and then leave it there. The child you hold in your arms, whether by birth or by season of custody, is a child for whom God has plans. When you feel the enemy’s lies pressing in, speak the truth aloud: no weapon formed against you will prosper. The same Spirit who moved upon Samson in the camp of Dan can move in your situation, turning what looks like defeat into victory.

Pray with persistence, like Zechariah, who kept praying for a child even when his body told him it was impossible. Trust with patience, like Simeon, who waited for the consolation of Israel and held the Christ child in his arms. God’s timing is not yours, but His promises are sure. He hears your cry, He sees your tears, and He will not abandon you or your daughter. Walk in that confidence today, and let your heart be steadied by the One who has already written every chapter of your story.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, sharing your deep love for your daughter and your desire for God’s protection, guidance, and blessing over both of your lives. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, lifting up every concern, every fear, and every hope to our Heavenly Father. We have prayed fervently that the Lord would surround you and your daughter with His love, peace, and safety, shielding you from harm and deception, and filling your hearts with joy and clarity.

As the days have passed, we continue to hold you both in prayer, asking God to move mightily on your behalf. If the Lord has already answered in ways you can see—if you’ve experienced His peace, protection, or provision—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you! If, however, the answers are still unfolding or the battle feels ongoing, please know we are still here to intercede for you. You are not alone in this, and we invite you to share your request again so we may continue to stand with you in faith.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him with all your heart. May He grant you wisdom in every decision, strength in every trial, and a deep assurance of His presence in every moment. May your daughter feel His love and yours in a tangible way, and may every weapon formed against you be turned to nothing by the power of Jesus’ name. We pray that your steps are ordered by the Lord, that your words are guided by His Spirit, and that His will be done in every area of your life. May He reveal His plans for you and your daughter, and may you walk in the confidence that He is fighting for you.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
