Disciple of Prayer
Please pray with me- my son who is ### has committed a murder. He was on video and admitted to it when the police arrived. I am a single mother of ### and he has been my most challenging child. He has some issues with rejection early on but the one person whom I think affected him most was his dad. I have been laboring, praying and mothering my son for years. I only just found out he had turned to voodoo and demonology. I didn’t even recognize him anymore. Is it selfish to hope and pray he doesn’t get a life sentence? I know the son I raised who accepted Christ as his personal savior and had been involved in worship services since a child.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and your family in this unimaginable trial. The weight of this situation is more than any mother should bear, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, seeking the Lord’s mercy, justice, and redemption. First, we must acknowledge the gravity of sin—your son’s actions are a grievous violation of God’s law, and the consequences are severe. The Word declares, *"Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man"* (Genesis 9:6). Yet even in this darkness, we cling to the truth that no sin is beyond the reach of Christ’s atoning blood. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He alone can bring light into this valley of shadow.

We rebuke the demonic influences that have ensnared your son—voodoo and demonology are not mere curiosities but open doors to spiritual bondage. The Bible warns, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12). These practices are an abomination to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12), and we command every evil spirit that has gained a foothold in your son’s life to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray for his deliverance from these chains, that his mind would be renewed by the truth of God’s Word and his heart turned fully back to the Savior he once knew.

It is not selfish to pray for mercy in sentencing—your love as a mother is a reflection of God’s own heart toward His children. But we must also pray for true repentance, for *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). The son you raised in the faith is still known by God, and we ask that the Holy Spirit would convict him deeply, leading him to genuine sorrow for his sin and a desire to make amends where possible. Even in prison, the Gospel can transform lives—*"Remember the prisoners, as though you were in prison with them"* (Hebrews 13:3). We pray for opportunities for your son to hear the Word, to be ministered to by believers, and to find redemption even behind bars.

We also lift you up, dear sister. The pain of this betrayal must be overwhelming, but the Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not alone in this—*"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and He will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22). We pray for strength to forgive, wisdom to navigate the legal process, and peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Your labor in prayer and motherhood has not been in vain—God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Even now, He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), though we may not see it yet.

Father God, we come before You with broken hearts, asking for Your mercy to cover this family. For the victim and their loved ones, we pray for Your comfort and healing, that they would know Your peace that transcends understanding. For this mother, grant her strength, wisdom, and the assurance of Your presence in this storm. For her son, we ask for a supernatural encounter with Your grace—break the chains of darkness, Lord, and draw him back to Yourself. Let justice be served, but let mercy triumph where it can. Restore what has been broken, redeem what has been lost, and bring glory to Your name even in this tragedy. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Amen.

We're here with you, sister, holding your hand through this unimaginable trial. Our hearts ache for your son, once a beacon of faith, now ensnared in darkness. We stand with you, lifting up our voices together, crying out to our Heavenly Father.

First, we cling to the truth that no sin is too great for God's grace. Remember David, who fell so far, yet was restored by God's unfathomable mercy? (2 Samuel 12, Psalm 51) We pray that your son, like David, would find true repentance, leading to restoration and redemption.

We bind the evil spirits that have taken hold of him, commanding them to flee in Jesus' mighty name. We ask for a supernatural encounter, a divine intervention that would break the chains of darkness and draw him back to the light. We envision him, once again, worshipping his Savior, finding healing and wholeness in His embrace.

We pray for you too, dear mother. Your strength and resilience are a testament to your love. We ask for God's comfort to wrap around you like a warm blanket, for His peace to guard your heart and mind. (Philippians 4:7) We believe that your labor in prayer and love has not been in vain. God is working, even now, weaving all things together for good. (Romans 8:28)

We also lift up the victim and their loved ones. We ask for God's healing and comfort, that they may find peace in the midst of their pain. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

Father God, we trust in Your mercy. We ask for justice, but we also ask for mercy to triumph where it can. (James 2:13) Restore what has been broken, redeem what has been lost, and bring glory to Your name in this tragedy. We ask all these things in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

Update my son wrote in a book that he was the defender of the innocent. We found out this guy was a child predator.

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heartbreak and burden before the Lord these past days. Your pain as a mother, watching your son walk so far from the faith you nurtured in him, must feel unbearable at times. We have prayed specifically for your son’s soul—that even now, in the midst of his darkest choices, the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin and draw him back to the Savior he once knew. We have asked God to break the chains of deception that led him into voodoo and demonology, that his heart would be softened to repentance and his mind renewed by truth.

We have also lifted you up, dear sister, asking the Lord to sustain you in this unimaginable trial. It is not selfish to hope for mercy in his sentencing—your love for him is a reflection of God’s own heart for the lost. We have prayed that the Lord would give you wisdom as you navigate this legal process, peace that surpasses understanding, and strength to continue standing on His promises even when the outcome is uncertain.

If the Lord has moved in ways you can share, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. If the weight of this storm still feels overwhelming, please know we are here to keep interceding with you. We will not stop praying for restoration—for your son’s salvation, for your family’s healing, and for God’s glory to be revealed even in this darkness.

May the Father wrap you in His comfort, the Son remind you of His redeeming love, and the Holy Spirit fill you with hope as you press into Him. We continue to stand with you in faith, believing that God is at work even when we cannot see it. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
