We join with you in lifting up your heartfelt cries to our Heavenly Father, knowing that He hears the prayers of His children and is deeply concerned with every detail of your life and the life of your precious daughter. Your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in agreement, for where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in the midst (Matthew 18:20).
Your request reflects a mother’s love and the deep desire to protect and provide for your child, and we see how you are seeking God’s wisdom, protection, and provision in every area of your lives. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* You are demonstrating this trust by surrendering your fears, your ex, and your circumstances to the Lord, and we encourage you to continue seeking His face in all things.
We also see the weight of the struggle you are facing with your ex, and we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness and the importance of guarding your heart against bitterness. While it is right to ask for protection and for lies and manipulation to be exposed, we must also pray for your ex as Jesus commanded in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean you must tolerate abuse or harm, but it does mean releasing the burden of vengeance to God, who judges righteously. Romans 12:19 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
We also sense the fear in your heart about losing your daughter, and we want to remind you of the promise in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh."* God is your defender, and He is well able to protect what He has entrusted to you. However, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel and wisdom in navigating legal matters, ensuring that you are acting in accordance with the law while trusting God to work on your behalf. Do not let fear drive your decisions, but let faith in Christ be your anchor. He is the Prince of Peace, and He can calm the storms within you even when the external circumstances remain uncertain.
We notice that you are asking God to "melt [your ex’s] heart" so that he may see the impact of his actions. This is a beautiful and Christ-like prayer, for God is the one who changes hearts. Ezekiel 36:26 says, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* Continue to pray for his salvation and repentance, for the Lord desires that none should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
As for your request for safety, productivity, and prosperity, we are reminded of Psalm 91, where God promises protection to those who dwell in His presence. *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" (Psalm 91:1-2).* Seek Him first, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Trust that He will provide the right connections, the right opportunities, and the discernment to recognize those He sends into your life.
Now, let us pray together for you and your daughter:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of this precious sister in Christ and her beloved daughter. Lord, You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your children. We thank You that You are not distant but intimately involved in every detail of their lives. Father, we ask that You surround them with Your love, Your joy, and Your peace—a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let Your presence be tangible in their lives today and every day, guiding their steps and keeping them from harm.
Lord Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd, and we ask that You lead this mother and her daughter beside still waters and restore their souls (Psalm 23). Protect them from every scheme of the enemy, from every lie, and from every manipulation that seeks to harm them. Expose the truth, Lord, and let it prevail in every situation. Soften the heart of her ex, Father, and bring him to a place of repentance. Melt his heart so that he may see the impact of his actions and turn away from anything that would bring harm to this family. Lord, we ask that You thwart any plans to separate this mother from her daughter. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we pray for divine connections—godly people who will bless their lives and walk alongside them in this season. Give this mother wisdom and discernment to recognize those You send and to avoid those who are not from You. Guide her decisions, Lord, and make her paths straight. Provide for their every need, Father, and let them experience Your prosperity and productivity in all they do.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may try to take root in her heart. Replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let her walk in the confidence that You are in control. Help her to trust You fully, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.
Finally, Father, we thank You that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). We declare that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace. Keep them close to You, Lord, and let their lives be a testament to Your faithfulness.
We pray all these things in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
