We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your loved one is facing, and we appreciate you reaching out for collective prayer. We trust in the power of prayer and the promise that where two or three are gathered in his name, God is there in the middle of them Matthew 18:20 WEB.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares for her deeply and is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB. We also pray for you, that God would give you the words and actions to support her in this time of need, with a spirit of compassion and wisdom.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up this precious daughter before your throne of grace. Lord, you know the pain and confusion she is experiencing right now, and we ask for your healing touch upon her life. Be with her as she navigates through this difficult divorce and the setback in her career. Help her to cast all her anxieties on you, because you care for her 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
We also pray for her soon-to-be ex-husband, that You would also work in his life and convict him of any sin and work your will in his life. We pray for Your will in their divorce, that You would have a plan for both of their lives and would work this difficult situation for good. We pray that You would also convict them of any sin in their lives, that You would redeem them and that You would save them if they do not know You Jesus as Lord.
Lord, we ask that you would surround her with godly counsel and wise friends who can support her and guide her through this challenging time. Help her to seek you first and your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to her as well Matthew 6:33 WEB.
We also pray for her career, that You would guide her to the correct action, and that You would give her a plan and guide her steps. We pray that You would open the doors that need to be opened and close the doors that need to be closed. We pray that You would take away her current job and provide a better one if that is in Your will.
We ask this all in Jesus Christ's precious name, remembering that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Therefore, we ask for you to come into her life and save her from her sins, that she would accept you as Lord of her life. We pray that she would accept Jesus as her Lord so that she may receive forgiveness of sins, be saved from God's wrath, be sanctified, and become part of God's family. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and that it is only by Jesus that we may be saved. Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13 WEB
As she embarks on this journey of healing and restoration, we pray that she would grow stronger in her faith, trusting in your promises and leaning on your everlasting arms.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you both to meditate on the words of Jeremiah 29:11 WEB: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Trust that God has a plan and a purpose for her life, and he will make a way even when it seems impossible.
We are reminded that marriage is a lifelong commitment ordained by God, and divorce is not His ideal will. In Malachi 2:16 WEB, it is stated: For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says that he hates divorce; for it covers one's clothing with violence! Therefore pay attention to yourselves, and be faithful. We pray that God would bring conviction, repentance, and restoration to both hearts, and that if it is His will, He would redeem and restore this marriage. However, we also trust in His sovereignty and understand that His ways are higher than our ways.
Please inform us on how we can further support her and pray for her as she walks through this trial. May God bless her.
