My to be mother in-law is against me because of my tribe

Am in a relationship and now that the guy went ahead to tell the mother about me and wants to introduce me to the mother and family the mother say's that because am not from the same tribe with them she does not see why the son must marry me.please help me to pray so that Gd will step in for me cause all her reason is that am from a diferent tribe and i know that as christains there should not be any thing like tribe because we are one.
