My son's headaches

We lift up your precious son to the Lord, our Great Physician, who hears the cries of His children and holds every detail of our lives in His hands. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your healing touch upon this young one’s head. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to bring relief and restoration.

Lord, we also ask that You would fill this home with joy tonight, let the sound of laughter rise from your son’s heart as a testimony of Your goodness. In James 5:14-15, You instruct us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We pray this prayer of faith now, trusting that You will move in power.

We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or pain that may be afflicting him, for Your Word says in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing will in any way hurt you." We command every headache to cease in Jesus’ name and declare that this child is covered by the blood of Christ.

Father, we also ask that You would grant wisdom to his parents, guide them in seeking any necessary medical care while trusting in Your sovereign will. May this trial draw the whole family closer to You, deepening their faith and dependence on Your grace.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the privilege of coming before Your throne on behalf of this family. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus, the Name above every name. Amen.

We ache with you as you wait by your ###'s side. A ### asking simply to hear her ### laugh again, that touches us deeply. We're joining you in that quiet hope tonight, entrusting your ### into the hands of Jesus, the one who welcomed little children and knows every ache in their bodies.

While we pray, we also want to gently encourage you to have his headaches checked by his pediatrician if you haven't already. Often, recurring head pain in a child has a treatable cause, and a doctor can help rule out anything more serious. Seeking good medical care isn't a lack of faith; it's part of how God provides for us. Keep a simple log of when the headaches come, how long they last, and anything that seemed to trigger them, that can be a gift to the doctor and to your ###.

In the meantime, keep doing what you're doing: being there, loving him, speaking calm and hope. Your presence is a reflection of God's own steady care. We're praying that the pain lifts soon and that you hear that sweet sound tonight.

Lord Jesus, we bring this ### to you right now. You know exactly what's causing these headaches, whether stress, an eye problem, or something else. We ask you to relieve the pain, to bring stillness and peace to his body. Give his ### the joy of hearing his laughter, a sign of your tender mercy. Grant wisdom to the doctors, and wrap this ### in your comfort as they wait on you. In your name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please grant healing and strength to this loved one. Grant him your peace and joy and peace of mind to his mom. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The power of the Lord is present to heal, and He inclines His ear to the cry of a mother’s heart. You have brought your son before the throne of grace, praying in Jesus’ name; this very prayer is a token that mercy is already stirring. For He has said, “I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.” When we are moved to call upon Him, it is because His healing wing is near. The Great Physician has leaves from the tree of life for every malady, and a touch from Him can banish pain as swiftly as He once calmed the sea. Remember the palsied man let down through the roof: first came forgiveness, then the command to rise. So often our Lord deals with body and soul together. Take heed how you measure out your faith, for with that measure it shall be measured to you. Cast yourself upon His mercy, and if it be His will, you shall hear ’s laugh ring through the house this very night, for He restores what was broken and makes the downcast spirit to sing. Only believe, and you shall see the goodness of the Lord.

Consider how the woman with the issue of blood and the Canaanite mother both obtained healing for themselves and their daughters through faith, great was the power of that faith, and Christ did not merely speak a word but declared, “Be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” So now, when you call upon the name of Jesus and ask for your son’s headaches to be removed and his laughter to be heard, do so with the same confidence. For you have adjured the Lord by that name which is above every name, a holy adjuration when entreating what is good. If even flawed human hearts are moved when a parent or child adjures them, how much more the compassionate Lord, who calls us to trust Him? Yet love Him not only for the relief you seek, but because He is the Healer of souls. If He grants this according to His will, give thanks; and if He delays, know that His wisdom surpasses ours. In the meantime, be a pattern of patience and faith to your son, that even in suffering you may adorn the soul with virtue. I will join my prayer to yours, that God may touch him and you may hear his laughter again.

You long to hear your son laugh tonight, and that desire itself is a mirror of something deep in the heart of God. When Abraham first heard the promise of a son in his old age, he fell on his face and laughed, not in doubt, but in sheer, overwhelming joy at what God was about to do. Later, when Isaac was born, Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.” The child’s very name meant laughter. I pray that kind of holy laughter will fill your home again, the sound of a child free from pain, a living reminder that nothing is too hard for the Lord.

Jesus knows what it is to see a beloved son suffer. He healed the centurion’s servant from a distance with a word, and He healed a man’s son who had been mute and tormented, a boy whose father must have ached to hear his voice. I don’t understand why some are healed in an instant while others walk a longer road, but I do believe that every true healing, however it comes, sudden or gradual, is a touch from the Son of God. He is the One who bore our infirmities, and He invites us to bring our bodies to Him as temples for His Spirit.

Your request itself is already reaching the ears of the God who hears. That’s the meaning of the name Ishmael: “God shall hear.” He heard Hagar’s affliction by the fountain, and He hears yours now as you cry out for your son. The One who did not spare His only begotten Son but gave Him up out of love for the world will not dismiss the pain of your child. The Father and the Son are one in this work of compassion.

I join my faith with yours in the name of Jesus, the Son of the living God, and I ask that the headaches would lift, that whatever process of healing God has woven into the body would be quickened, and that your son’s laughter would ring out tonight as a testimony of joy. But even as we wait for the full answer, keep looking at God and not just at human possibilities. The question that echoes through Scripture, “Whose Son is He?”, reminds us that Jesus is no ordinary man; He is the Messiah, the Son of God, with authority over every physical and spiritual affliction. He is worthy of your trust.

May you soon hear the sound you are longing for, and may it be a foretaste of that eternal gladness when every tear is wiped away and mourning turns to laughter in His presence.
