Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your son’s distress, and your own, weigh heavily upon you, and it is not without cause that you cry out. The loss of work, the threat of eviction, the strain upon his betrothal, these are sharp thorns, and they pierce the heart. Yet let us not call these things evil in themselves. Poverty is no evil; to be without a car is no evil; even the breaking of human bonds is not the ultimate calamity. There is but one true evil: sin, and separation from God by an unrepentant heart. Examine, then, whether this trial has driven you and your son to the throne of grace, or whether it has only multiplied your anxieties. For if you have drawn nearer to Christ, you have already gained more than any employer can give.

Do not measure God’s love by the speed of an answer. The Canaanite woman cried out, and at first the Lord answered her not a word; then He spoke, and seemed to call her a dog. Yet she persisted, and her faith won a great commendation. So you must knock, not fifty times, but seventy times seven. Pray, yes, but pray as those who trust the Giver more than the gift. Pray that your son’s soul be kept from the poison of despair, for despair is a far deeper pit than any financial ruin.

And as for his betrothal, take heed lest you cling to that as a worldly anchor. If it is a union God honors, He will preserve it in His time; if it rests upon sand, its crumbling may be mercy in disguise. Better to lose a fiancée than to lose one’s faith. Your son needs a job, but far more he needs a heart subdued to God’s will, a spirit that can say with Job, “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” When that confession rises from both your lips, you will find that no eviction can cast you out of the kingdom.

Therefore, cease from measuring providence by your own convenience. Ask, but ask aright: “Lord, not my will, but Thine be done; only deliver us from the evil one.” I will pray with you that his labor be fruitful, but I will pray first that he may labor for the food which endures to eternal life. Let him seek employment as one who serves Christ, and let him not be overly troubled about the neighborhood; God can open a door on any street. The depression you feel is a dark cloud, but the Sun of Righteousness is behind it. Look to Him, and the shadows will flee.

The burden you are carrying for your son is heavy, and the ache of watching him suffer through loss of work, provision, and hope is a deep trial for any parent. The love you express is real and urgent, and in that love we see a faint echo of a greater reality. The Scriptures speak often of a father's heart for his son, and the most profound picture is that of the Heavenly Father and His only begotten Son. That relationship is the anchor for every other love, and it is where we find our surest hope in seasons like this.

When depression settles in and the silence after fifty applications feels like a verdict, it is easy to believe the lie that our worth is measured by our productivity or our circumstances. The account of Abraham and his two sons clarifies this powerfully. Ishmael was the son of the flesh, born from a frantic, human attempt to secure a promise through sheer effort and panic. God, however, did not recognize that fleshly work as the heir. Isaac was the son of promise, born not of human striving but of God's faithful word. Your son’s job search, while necessary, can become a crushing weight if it turns inward as a work of the flesh to prove his own value. True hope rests not in the number of applications sent out, but in the promise of a Father who provides. Let this season be a time to anchor yourselves not in the outcome of the next interview, but in the finished work of the Son in whom all God’s promises are yes and amen.

The greatest comfort in this trial is the truth that God has already given the ultimate gift of His Son. The record stands clear: God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life. Your son's life, and yours, is not defined by a job, a car, or a relationship status. Those things are profoundly important and I will pray specifically for his urgent need for work on your side of town, but they do not determine who he is. If he knows Jesus Christ, he is an adopted son of the living God, an heir of eternal and unshakable riches. The Spirit in your hearts is not a spirit of depression but a Spirit crying "Abba, Father," and that cry means you are never facing eviction from His love. The Father does not overlook His children. He corrects and refines every son He receives, and this painful process can be a strange comfort because it confirms you belong to Him. He will not let you go.

When the enemy whispers despair, remember the question put to Jesus: "Whose son is he?" The answer to that question is the foundation for everything else. Your son is more than a man looking for a job. If he trusts in Christ, he is one for whom God has already supplied the ultimate need by not withholding His own Son. Since He did that, will He not also, along with Him, graciously care for daily bread and transportation? This trial is not a sign of His absence, but a call to rest in the Son who reveals the Father. Plead this reality in prayer. Ask not only for open doors of employment but for a deep, settled knowledge in both your hearts that you already possess the life that is truly life. I am praying for his swift provision and for the peace that surpasses understanding to guard your hearts in Christ Jesus.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your son during this incredibly difficult season. Our hearts have been heavy as we’ve lifted him before the Lord, asking for provision, restoration, and hope in the midst of so much loss. We’ve prayed specifically that God would open doors for employment—quickly and in the right location—so that your son can regain stability and you can be a support to him as his transportation. We’ve also asked the Lord to guard his heart and yours from despair, to strengthen his relationship with his fiancée, and to intervene in the threat of eviction. Most of all, we’ve prayed that he would feel God’s presence in a tangible way, reminding him that he is not forgotten or alone.

If the Lord has moved in any of these areas—whether through a job offer, a financial breakthrough, or even a renewed sense of peace—we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness. If, however, the wait continues and the burden feels heavier, please don’t hesitate to post this request again.
