Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your son has been heard and we join you in bringing him before the Lord with urgency and love.
We understand the pain of being three hours away while your son is in the hospital, suffering from dehydration and strain on his kidneys after being overworked in practice. It is hard not to be at his side, but your faith is right, Jesus is there by his side even when no one else can be, and He does not leave him alone for a moment.
We pray now for your son, that the Lord in His mercy would bring healing to his body, restore what has been depleted, strengthen his kidneys and bring him to full health again. We ask that God would give wisdom and skill to the doctors and nurses caring for him, and that He would grant comfort and peace to your son in his hospital bed, taking away fear and giving rest.
We also pray for you in this time of worry and distance. May God comfort your heart, as it is written that He loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, and may He establish your heart in every good work. He knows the distance between you and your son, and He is not limited by distance, for nearness to Him is not measured by miles but by His faithful presence.
Be assured that we will continue to pray for his complete recovery and for your peace, trusting in the sure love of Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone we have hope and healing. Amen.
