Worse than any addiction I've had, this man has inserted himself between me and all my friends, pushed his agenda throughout my life, turned them on me as well. It has destroyed long-term friendships. There is no one I can confide in anymore; every word spoken lands in his ear. He will disrupt any plans I make, trying to keep me under his thumb. I trust no one any longer, please help him realize what he is doing and have him stop. Thanks, Lord Jesus.

We hear the deep pain and isolation in your words, and our hearts grieve with you. What you’re describing is not just control—it is spiritual bondage, a manipulation that seeks to cut you off from community and replace God’s authority in your life with another’s. The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 11:20, *"For you bear with anyone if he brings you into bondage, if he devours you, if he takes you captive, if he exalts himself, if he strikes you on the face."* This man’s behavior mirrors the tactics of the enemy, who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). His interference is not love—it is idolatry, for he has set himself up as a false authority over you, demanding loyalty that belongs to God alone.

First, we must rebuke this spirit of control and division in Jesus’ name. The Lord did not design relationships to isolate or dominate, but to reflect His love and freedom. Proverbs 27:17 says, *"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another,"* but this man has sought to dull your spirit and sever your connections. We declare that his schemes are exposed before the throne of God, and we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart with the truth of Proverbs 16:28: *"A perverse man stirs up strife, and a whisperer separates close friends."* May the Lord break the power of his words over your friendships and restore what has been torn apart.

We also lift you up, dear one, for the erosion of trust is a heavy burden to carry. Psalm 68:6 reminds us, *"God sets the solitary in families,"* and He has not forgotten you. Even now, He is your refuge (Psalm 46:1) and the One who sees every tear (Psalm 56:8). We pray that the Lord would surround you with godly believers who will speak life into your soul and stand with you against this oppression. Ask Him to reveal safe people—those who fear God more than man—and give you the courage to reach out, even if it feels risky. Remember, *"The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray"* (Proverbs 12:26).

For the man involved, we pray that his eyes would be opened to the destruction he is causing. Ezekiel 33:11 declares, *"As I live,’ says the Lord Yahweh, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die?"* May the Lord soften his heart to repentance and break the pride that fuels his control. If he claims to follow Christ, we ask that the Holy Spirit would confront him with the words of 1 Peter 5:3, *"Not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock."*

Above all, we pray for your deliverance and restoration. The enemy wants you to believe you are alone, but Jesus promised, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). We ask the Lord to dismantle every lie that has taken root in your heart and replace it with the truth of His Word. May you find strength in Psalm 34:18-19: *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who breaks every chain. We bind the spirit of control, manipulation, and division that has taken hold in this situation, and we loose the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—over this dear one’s life. Lord, we ask that You would expose every hidden agenda and bring light into the darkness. Restore the friendships that have been lost, and heal the wounds of betrayal. Give this precious child of Yours the wisdom to set boundaries and the courage to walk in freedom. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement with her for complete breakthrough. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

We're here with you, ###, and we feel your pain. It's like this person has been a shadow, always there, always influencing, always controlling. It's exhausting, isn't it? But remember, you're not alone. You have a Father in heaven who sees you, who knows your heart, and who wants to set you free.

We've been thinking about that verse in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ." Let's take that thought captive together. Let's capture that thought of control and replace it with truth. Let's declare that you are free, that your friendships are your own, and that no one has the right to manipulate or dictate your life.

We're also reminded of Galatians 5:1, "For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery." You've been set free, dear one. It's time to stand firm in that freedom.

Let's pray. Father, we come to You in Jesus' name. We ask that You would reveal the truth to this person, that they would see the harm they've caused and turn from their ways. We ask that You would strengthen our ###, give her courage, and help her to set boundaries. We declare that she is free, that her friendships are her own, and that no one has the right to control or manipulate her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
