My right upper leg

I don't know how to cause the pain in my right upper leg because the pain doesn't go away in my right upper leg. I don't know where the pain comes from in my right leg.

We hear your distress and the persistent pain you’re enduring in your right upper leg. Physical suffering can weigh heavily on both body and spirit, and we want to come alongside you in prayer and encouragement.

First, we urge you to seek medical attention if you haven’t already. The body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and persistent pain is often a signal that something needs attention. Proverbs 14:30 reminds us, "A sound heart is the life of the flesh, but envy is the rottenness of the bones." While this verse speaks to emotional health, it underscores the connection between our well-being and the care we give our bodies. Do not delay in consulting a healthcare professional to diagnose the source of your pain.

In the meantime, we lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our brother/sister in pain. You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask You to touch this leg, to bring relief and clarity to the source of this discomfort. Lord, grant wisdom to the doctors and caregivers who may examine and treat this pain. Give patience and strength to endure as You work in this situation. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we lean on You in this time of need. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage you to reflect on whether there may be emotional or spiritual burdens contributing to this physical trial. Sometimes, stress, anxiety, or unresolved struggles can manifest in our bodies. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Surrender your worries to the Lord, and allow His peace to minister to you.

If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we gently invite you to consider the hope and healing found in Him. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and in Him, we find eternal life and present comfort. If you’d like to know more about receiving Christ as your Savior, we’d be honored to guide you.

Continue to rest in the Lord, seek His face, and trust that He is working even in this pain. We will stand with you in prayer as you walk this path.

We hear you, ongoing pain that defies explanation is exhausting, and not knowing where it’s coming from just adds a layer of unease. When our own bodies won’t give us a clear answer, it’s easy to feel stuck.

You mentioned the pain is in your right upper leg and it won’t let up. One of the most important things you can do right now is let a doctor take a look. Unexplained, persistent pain needs a professional’s eyes, not a guess or a home remedy. You don’t have to have the whole story figured out before you go, that’s exactly what they’re there to help untangle. Before your appointment, it might help to jot down simple notes: When does the pain seem sharper? Does anything seem to ease it, even a little? What kind of sensation is it, dull ache, sharp, throbbing? Even small details can give a physician a useful starting point.

While you wait for answers, please know you’re not just a case to be solved. God sees your discomfort and your frustration. And we’re standing with you, asking Him to guide you to the right help and to bring relief.

Let’s pray:

Father, thank You for being close when pain confuses and isolates us. Please lead this dear person to a wise doctor who can identify what’s behind this leg pain. Calm any anxiety that builds up from the unknown, and in the waiting, grant moments of genuine rest. We ask for Your healing touch on that right leg, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The very bewilderment of your cry reveals the trial's design, to teach you that faith must rest where understanding fails. He educates our faith, testing it by trials which increase little by little in proportion as our faith has increased. You say, "I do not know where the pain comes from," and it is well that you do not, for if you knew the source you might trust the physician instead of the Physician. The greatest faith often grows in the soil of ignorance, where all human sight is baffled. "Ah," said one the other night, "I thought I had great faith, but now that I am racked with pain, I find I have scarcely any." Yet even that confession, when it drives you to Christ, is faith at work. Weak faith may bring us a blessing, but weakness in faith is an evil, and to indulge weakness in faith and not to struggle out of it would only be a willful increase of guilt.

Stick to your faith in Christ. The just shall live by faith, not by living free from pain, nor by tracing every ache to its earthly cause. Faith in Jesus begets life and this life will flourish or decay very much in proportion to our faith. You are confirmed in the present faith, and well you may be, for our doctrine is worthy of your confidence. Let this trial be the place where you make a carpet of needle-work for your Lord, woven in the dark hours with the threads of trust and the gold of patience. He had in His right hand seven stars, not ordinary lamps, but stars shining with a greater brilliance, and that same right hand upholds you now, though you feel yourself to be no star but a dim, flickering wick. Do not ask first for the pain to go; ask that the faith which brings life to the soul would not go. The sun, when it shines in its strength, not when it is rising in the morning, nor yet when it is setting in the evening, nor yet when a cloud passes over it, the sun in its strength, no man can look at. So it is with the purposes of God in your body; you cannot gaze directly into this blazing mystery, but you may trust the One who holds the sun and the stars and your right upper leg in His pierced hand.

Genuine faith in God knows of no difficulties whatever, not because the difficulties vanish, but because the Object of faith eclipses them. You are not occupying a logical position in being a weak believer in a strong Christ. Why wavering faith in an unwavering promise? The persuasion that Christ died for me comes after the exercise of faith and is an outgrowth of that faith. It is faith in full bloom, but it is not necessarily the essence of faith in Christ. Even now, with your leg throbbing and your mind dark, the essence remains: "I believe; help my unbelief." He only expects us to do man's work and to endure man's afflictions when we have arrived at the stature of men in Christ Jesus; so this very endurance is His expectation, and He supplies the strength for it. Forsake me not in the day of my strongest faith, lest my faith degenerate into presumption, and so I perish by mine own hand. Let that be your prayer, and then hear the answer: The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me, unworthy me. Lost and ruined me. Yes, even this leg, this mysterious pain, this hour of confusion, it all concerns you, and therefore it concerns Him. Little-Faith goes to Heaven, but his feet are sore on the road. Your leg may be sore, but the road leads home, and the Chariot of the covenant, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, carries you along even when you feel every jolt.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

A pain that will not depart, a suffering whose source you cannot trace. This is a heavy burden, and you cry out for an answer. Yet consider this: the dullness of the body often mirrors a dullness of the soul. You seek to pinpoint the origin of the ache in your leg, but where is the origin? Is it not better to ask what medicine the pain itself administers?

The body cries out when the soul is at ease in its sins. I speak these words not to gall you without cause, but because it is my bounden duty, for the word is like a cure. A surgeon’s knife gives pain, but the cut is meant to drain the disease. This pain of yours, this stubborn affliction in the limb, may be the very thing that keeps you from a greater fall. For just as a master threatens punishment, and a wise servant trembles and avoids the lash, so physical suffering braces the soul. It elevates the mind from earthly trifles, casting out the dangerous desires that cling to us and giving wings to our thoughts toward heaven. The pain you feel now is a bitter reality, but how much more bitter is the reality of a soul untended, rushing toward judgment?

Do not be like those who are always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, who hear and remain unchanged. You ask where the pain comes from. I tell you, many listen to ten discourses and seem insensible, yet the word works in them unseen, and after many blows, the tree of their stubborn heart is brought down by a single stroke. This pain may be that stroke. Let it pierce your heart. Do not merely cry out for the leg to be healed; cry out for the whole man to be made well. Look not only at the ailing part, but behold the great multitude of the poor and maimed, both in body and spirit. To tend to a broken limb is compassion, but to tend to sin is the greater work. See that you are not an impostor to your own soul, using a bodily ache as a pretense to avoid the true state of your inner life.

If we must give pain to our hearers, it is not willingly but on compulsion, for love. I would far rather speak of green pastures and still waters, of the rest where sorrow and sighing flee away. But while the sickness remains, to keep silent would be cruelty and inhumanity. The pain you feel today can be the foundation of your healing tomorrow. Do not simply seek to name the malady; let the malady teach you. Let it drive you from the bed of ease to the feet of the Great Physician, where alone the true source of all our wounds is cleansed, and the fever of sin is put to flight.

Pain has a way of wearing down not just the body but the spirit too, especially when we can’t trace it to any clear cause. When a part of you simply aches on without explanation, it’s easy to feel trapped in a cycle of discomfort and questions. You want it to go, but you don’t even know what you’re fighting.

Take heart that the Lord draws near to those who suffer. He knows what it is to live inside a frame that groans. Think of the agony His own mother had to witness as she stood near the cross, watching her Son endure what no human should. She had carried the promise of His life in her heart, yet she had to watch Him despised and broken. The pain of that moment, the helplessness of seeing suffering she couldn’t stop, was real. And the Lord didn’t remove it, He walked through it. He is not far from your confusion. Your ache, deep in that upper leg, is something you can bring directly to the One whose own body was pierced for us. He understands a body that hurts.

When you pray about this, don’t feel you have to wear God down with words. He’s not a reluctant neighbor who only answers after endless knocking. Jesus made it plain: if an earthly father gives good gifts to his children, how much more does your heavenly Father care for you? You don’t have to convince Him to notice your leg. He already knows each nerve and muscle, and He sees the frustration this mystery brings. So keep asking, yes, persist in prayer not to change His mind, but to anchor your heart in His trustworthiness. Tell Him plainly: “I don’t know what’s wrong. I don’t know why it stays. But I’m looking to You.”

At the same time, don’t neglect practical wisdom. Sometimes we carry burdens that no one should bear alone, like the absurd man-made rules that piled weights on the hurting in days past. Your body is not a wooden weight to be ignored; it’s the temple of the Holy Spirit. Seek out a physician who can examine you, run tests, and perhaps help uncover what’s hidden. That’s not a lack of faith; it’s using the means God provides.

Now, it’s worth gently examining the heart, too. The Scripture does show that some physical ailments are directly linked to choices, a moment of foolishness can birth a lifetime of regret. But just as often, suffering has no such link. The disciples once asked whose sin caused a man’s blindness, and Jesus answered: neither. It was so the works of God might be seen. Your unexplainable leg pain may simply be part of living in a fallen world, and God’s grace can meet you right there. If there is any unconfessed sin behind it, the Spirit will bring that to light, but don’t assume this is a punishment. Instead, let the pain turn you toward the Great Physician in dependence.

As you walk this out, perhaps literally, step by aching step, remember that Jesus walked a final leg of a journey to Jerusalem, not toward the earthly relief His disciples expected, but toward the cross that bought our peace. The path through suffering often leads to glory we can’t yet see. Your pain is real, and you may not understand its source today. But you are held by a Savior who knows your sorrows, bears your griefs, and promises that one day, every tear will be wiped away. Until then, cast this burden on Him, for He cares for you.

We want to thank you for trusting us with your prayer request concerning the persistent pain in your right upper leg. It’s been on our hearts to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to bring comfort, healing, and clarity to your situation. We’ve prayed for relief from the pain, for wisdom for any medical professionals involved, and for God’s peace to surround you as you seek answers.

If the Lord has answered this prayer—whether through healing, a diagnosis, or even just a measure of relief—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the pain continues and you’re still seeking God’s intervention, please don’t hesitate to post this again as a new request. We’re here to stand with you in faith, believing that God hears and cares about every detail of your life.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, strength, and hope as you continue to seek Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

I don't like to get veins hurt to cause pain because I don't know how to cause pain in the front of my left leg. My left leg doesn't deserve to get pain in the veins. My whole body doesn't deserve pain in the whole body.
