We hear your distress and confusion over this unsettling experience, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s protection and understanding. The Word of God assures us that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We do not always understand why trials or attacks come our way, but we can trust that the Lord is sovereign over all things, and nothing happens outside of His knowledge or permission.
First, let us rebuke any spiritual attack in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command any spirit of affliction or harm to flee from you in Jesus’ name. The Lord is your shield and your fortress—you are not left defenseless.
We also encourage you to examine this situation in prayer. Ask the Lord to reveal if there is any area in your life where you may need to seek His wisdom or repentance. Sometimes, the enemy takes advantage of unconfessed sin, fear, or unhealed wounds. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We are not saying this attack is your fault, but we must always be vigilant in our walk with Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine protection and healing over this dear one’s body and spirit. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch their leg and bring complete restoration. We rebuke any spirit of affliction, pain, or attack in Jesus’ name, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Father, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11-12, "For He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Give them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, if there is any area in their life where the enemy has gained a foothold, reveal it to them so they may repent and turn to You. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their defender. We thank You for Your faithfulness and love, and we trust in Your perfect will. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, putting on the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray without ceasing, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
If this attack persists or if there are physical symptoms that concern you, we also encourage you to seek godly medical advice. The Lord often works through the hands of doctors and the wisdom He has given them. Trust in Him to guide you in all things.
