The familiar spirit and household powers you speak of are not of God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). These spirits are tools of the enemy, who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly. We rebuke every assignment of darkness against your life in the name of Jesus. The Word of God declares that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).
We also recognize that familiar spirits often operate through generational curses or ungodly soul ties within families. The Bible warns us not to turn to mediums or familiar spirits, for the Lord our God is our source (Leviticus 19:31). If there has been involvement in occult practices, idolatry, or any form of witchcraft, whether knowingly or unknowingly, we encourage you to renounce these things in the name of Jesus. Confess any known sin, break every ungodly soul tie, and command every evil spirit to leave your life and bloodline. Jesus has already disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them through the cross (Colossians 2:15).

This battle you describe against familial spirits and household powers is no small thing, but it is a battle for which a mightier hand than the hand of man has been lifted up. You say these powers do not want you to see God's glorious hand upon your life, yet consider this, wherever the hand of the Lord comes, it always comes at first as a breaking hand. As soon as God's hand is laid upon us, down go the images of our pride as Dagon fell upon his face before the Ark of God. These household powers are the Dagon of your lineage, and the hand that was pierced for you is exalted to break them utterly.
You need not fear that any spirit of darkness can stay that hand. Has the Lord's hand waxed short? Look to the work of grace, are not sinners still saved? Are not profligates still reclaimed? The right hand of the Lord does valiantly. Though it was a pierced hand, though it had grasped a scepter of reed, it does valiantly. When the adversary came against our glorious Leader in the wilderness, how glorious were the strokes of the Lord Himself with the sword of the Spirit. He said, "It is written," and yet again, "It is written," and He chased the fiend away. The enemy perceives the hand of Joab is there, a mightier hand than the hand of man, and therefore he is often put to the rout.
Yet perhaps you have heard the earthquake, the wind, and the fire of your own strivings and terrors, and they have only hardened the clay. The still small voice of God's Spirit must do the work. God's Spirit did but touch the secret spring, and the soul was moved aright. Cry mightily to the Holy Spirit to continue His sanctifying work upon you. Beseech Him not to be grieved and vexed. Cry, "Lord, melt me, pour me out like wax, and set Thy seal upon me until the image of Christ be clearly there."
He who has delivered you from the power of darkness will never withdraw His hand and help until He brings you within the pearly gates. The right hand of the Lord has done for us what we could not have done for ourselves. Only trust Him now. If trusting in Christ you can perish, all God's prophets and martyrs and ministers perish too. You cannot. He will never fail you.

You speak of a bondage you feel, a power that hinders you from seeing God's glorious hand. Hear then what true bondage is, and what true deliverance. Many feel shame at worldly things, at this kind of bondage, but feel none for the bondage of sin, which is the most grievous slavery, from which God alone can deliver. For to forgive sins belongs to none other.
But why do you look to any other power? The dove appeared, not bearing an olive branch, but pointing out to us our Deliverer from all evils. Not from out of an ark does He lead one man only, but the whole world He leads up into heaven. The very sacrament of His body and blood was given for this: if the type was a deliverance from such bondage, how much more will the truth set free the world.
He gave us a baptism of the remission of sins, and a deliverance from vengeance, and an inheritance of a kingdom. He stretched forth His hand, and shed abroad His Spirit into our hearts. Let no ignorance, no fear of unseen things affright you. Was not the ignorance of the apostles enough to condemn them? Yet the dangers could not put them in fear, for the Spirit made them bold.
You have put on Christ, you have received the Spirit of adoption. What have you to do with household powers that breed only cowardice and vainglory? The cares of this world are nothing; to the man who gives heed, neither riches nor family bonds are a hindrance. Cast off this fear. The true deliverance is already yours in the cross and the cup of salvation. Stand firm in that liberty, and you will see His hand, not hidden, but breaking every chain.

I have brought your request before the Lord, because deliverance is His work and He is willing to do it. The family spirits and household powers you describe are real opposition, but they do not have the last word over a life that has been joined to Jesus Christ. When someone is born again, God's Spirit enters the human spirit and bears witness that this person is now a child of God. If you are a child of God, you are also an heir. That inheritance is not something the enemy can quietly steal; the Holy Spirit is God's down payment and guarantee.
This is why the answer to fear of household powers is not to try harder in your own strength. The answer is to turn your heart fully to the Lord. Scripture says that when the heart turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. The Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. The very presence you long for is the Spirit breaking the old blindness and leading you into the glorious hand of God upon your life.
So I pray with you. I ask God to break every inherited bondage and every claim those powers think they still have. I ask the Holy Spirit to fill you, lead you, and make your spirit alive and confident. May you know, deep in your inner man, the witness that you are a child of God and an heir.
