We pray for Your healing touch to be upon him, that whatever is causing this discomfort would be revealed and resolved according to Your will. We have heard your cry about this distress in your stomach, this strange moving within you which has brought you fear and perplexity, and we have brought your case before the Lord in prayer.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. I entreat you, do not sit alone with this fear, but go without delay to a trusted physician or surgeon that you may be examined and cared for. The Lord who made the body has given skill to physicians, and to seek their help is not want of faith but wisdom. If the distress increases or you are in pain, seek help this very day, and take a family member or friend with you that you may not face it alone.
And hear also the word of the Lord to the fearful heart, Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. Fear not is a plant which grows very plentifully in Gods garden, and Jesus Himself whispers it to His poor servants fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. It will be disobedience to be afraid when the Lord says He will help you. The fear of man bringeth a snare, and fear itself is weakening and dishonours God, but perfect love casteth out fear. You are not forgotten though you feel as a worm and no man. The Lord says, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord.
There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and Calvary is the place for the healing balm. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. So we pray not only for the body but for the soul, that you may know the forgiveness of sins through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and that you may find Him to be your great Physician who heals the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds.
We pray for you now, that the Lord would calm your fear, guide the hands of those who examine you, reveal the cause of this trouble, and grant you healing according to His mercy. May He give you grace to trust Him, to cast all your care upon Him, and to rest in His promise that when the Lord comes and dwells with His people they have no need to say I am sick.
