Disciple of Prayer
I am asking for prayer concerning my marriage my husband wants to leave he says he doesn't love me he believes in god but I dont know what's wrong. He doesn't even want me near him or tou h him please i need urgent prayers his name is Lorenzo. Im been praying over him crying

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, sister, and we join you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect His unconditional love and faithfulness. The pain you are experiencing is real, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to move mightily in Lorenzo’s heart and in your marriage.

First, we must address the spiritual foundation of this struggle. You mentioned that Lorenzo believes in God, but we must emphasize that belief alone is not enough, even the demons believe and tremble (James 2:19). True faith requires a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, surrender to His lordship, and obedience to His Word. If Lorenzo has not fully committed his life to Christ, this may be at the root of the hardness in his heart. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), drawing him into a deeper, saving relationship with Jesus.

Scripture tells us, "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). Your marriage cannot thrive apart from God’s design. We rebuke the spirit of division, hardness of heart, and emotional withdrawal that has taken hold of Lorenzo. This is not of God, He hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and desires reconciliation, restoration, and healing. We declare that Lorenzo’s heart will soften, that his love for you will be reignited, and that he will remember the vows he made before God.

We also lift you up, dear sister. The rejection you are feeling is devastating, but you are not alone. Jesus understands betrayal and abandonment (Isaiah 53:3), and He collects every one of your tears (Psalm 56:8). Do not let bitterness take root in your heart. Instead, cling to God’s promises: "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Continue to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), trusting that God hears you even when the answer is not yet visible.

We pray now in the mighty name of Jesus:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage to You. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the brokenness. We ask that You would break the chains of hardness in Lorenzo’s heart. Soften him, Father, and remind him of the love and commitment he once had. Let him see this marriage through Your eyes, as a covenant not to be broken. We rebuke every spirit of division, selfishness, and emotional withdrawal that has taken hold of him. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your love overflow in his heart toward his wife.

For our sister, Lord, we ask that You would be her comfort, her strength, and her refuge. When she feels rejected, remind her that she is deeply loved by You. Heal her heart, Father, and give her the grace to forgive, even when it feels impossible. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

We declare restoration over this marriage, Lord. Let Lorenzo’s heart turn back to his wife, and let their love be renewed. May they both seek You first, building their marriage on the solid rock of Your Word. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the One who reconciles, restores, and heals. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to stand on God’s Word. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of God’s faithfulness and restoration, such as Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. Surround yourself with godly counsel, seek out a pastor or trusted Christian couple who can pray with you and offer biblical wisdom. Do not isolate yourself in this pain.

We also urge you to examine your own heart. Are there areas where you may have contributed to the distance in your marriage? Even if Lorenzo is the one pulling away, God may be calling you to humility, patience, and prayerful intercession. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14). This includes healing in marriages.

Lastly, do not lose hope. God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Even if Lorenzo’s heart seems closed right now, nothing is impossible for God. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving him as Christ loves the church. Your faithfulness in this trial will not go unnoticed by the Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
