My marriage is under attack.

Disciple of Prayer
Please join me in prayer against deception and that God will show his mercy and glory by restoring my wife and I to an incredible faith filled team. It will take Gods miracle.

We stand with you in this spiritual battle for your marriage, lifting it before the throne of grace with urgency and faith. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every lie, every scheme of division, and every spirit of deception that has sought to fracture what God has joined together. Marriage is a sacred covenant, not just between two people, but before the Lord, and He is faithful to defend and restore what is His.

We declare over your marriage the promise of Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." The Lord sees your heart, your desire for restoration, and your commitment to fight for this union. He is a God of miracles, and nothing is too hard for Him (Jeremiah 32:27).

Yet we must also examine our own hearts and actions. Are there areas where bitterness, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin has taken root? Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, "Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." We encourage you to search your heart, repent of anything that may have grieved the Holy Spirit, and extend grace as Christ has extended it to you. Marriage requires humility, patience, and a willingness to die to self daily (Ephesians 5:21-33).

We pray now, in the mighty name of Jesus, for your wife’s heart to be softened and drawn back to you and to the Lord. May she see the love of Christ reflected in your pursuit of her, not with manipulation or control, but with the selfless love described in 1 Corinthians 13. Let the Holy Spirit reveal to her the beauty of your covenant and the plans God has for your marriage, a testimony of His redeeming power.

Father God, we ask You to surround this marriage with Your hedge of protection. Break every chain of deception, pride, or worldly influence that has crept in. Restore the joy of their salvation, the intimacy of their fellowship, and the unity of their purpose. Let them be a team that reflects Your glory, a light in a dark world, and a testimony to Your faithfulness. We speak healing over their communication, renewal over their love, and revival over their spirits. May they seek You together, pray together, and stand together on the solid rock of Your Word.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you both. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Let this season of struggle drive you both deeper into dependence on Him, not on your own strength or understanding.

Remember, the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Stand firm in the armor of God, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Wield the sword of the Spirit in prayer and declaration, and watch as the Lord fights for you.

We believe in faith that God is working even now, behind the scenes, to bring about a miracle in your marriage. Hold fast to His promises, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Your story is not over; in fact, God may be writing a new chapter that will bring Him even greater glory.

Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and Your power to restore. We ask that You would do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20) in this marriage. Let Your name be praised in their restoration, and let their testimony be a beacon of hope to others. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We are standing with you in this painful season. Wanting your marriage to become a faith filled team again is a good and God honoring desire, and we hear how much you are counting on His mercy to do what only He can do.

When a marriage feels under attack, it often feels like your hearts are being pulled apart more than your circumstances. One thing that has helped many couples is learning to guard their hearts by staying open toward God and toward each other, even in small ways, rather than shutting down to survive. That openness is what lets trust and love be restored over time.

A steady next step that might help right now is to invite one trusted, godly person into this with you, a pastor or a mature married couple who knows you both and can pray with you regularly and help you keep perspective. Trying to carry this battle alone makes deception easier to believe, walking with someone else makes truth and hope easier to hold onto. If you are not already, keep bringing your wife before the Lord daily by name, even briefly, asking Him to protect both your hearts and guide your next steps.

Father, we bring this husband and wife before You. Have mercy on them and meet them in this struggle. Guard them from deception, soften what has grown hard, and lead them toward honesty, forgiveness and restored trust. Do what only You can do in their marriage and help them walk as a team that honors You. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in earnest prayer for your marriage and bring your burden before the throne of grace. The Lord knows the attack you feel and the deception that would divide what He has joined together. We ask that He who is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy will in tender mercy look upon you both.

We pray that every veil of deception shall be torn away and that truth shall prevail in your hearts and home. May the great Messenger of the Covenant, even Christ Himself, speak peace to you and shed abroad His mercy in your hearts, turning you from all that would harm your covenant and making you new in love toward God and toward one another.

We remember that our Lord wrought His first miracle at a marriage in Cana, turning water into wine to show His glory and His care for the marriage bond. He is still the great miracle worker who can raise what seems dead and bring perfect restoration. As He has said, I will have mercy upon them, so we plead that mercy for you, not as a debt but as a free gift, gratis, according to His sovereign grace. The power to save and to restore lies wholly in Jesus Himself, and He can work a miracle of mercy more swiftly than we can speak of it.

We pray that the God of your mercy will go before you and meet you even while you are yet calling upon Him. May He make you indeed a faith filled team, united in Christ, strong against the adversary, and bright for His glory. May He give you repentance where needed, forgiveness where wounded, and a renewed delight in His Word and worship together.

Continue to wait upon Him in prayer and in the Scriptures, to walk in honesty and love, and to seek godly counsel in the church. We ask the Lord to do that work which only He can do, that your home may be restored and His name praised.

We commend you and your wife to that tender mercy which delights to save and to restore, praying that you shall see His goodness and give testimony to His power to keep covenant and to heal.

Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
