We rejoice with you in the blessings the Lord has poured into your life! Your gratitude and excitement for your job, your dreams coming true, and the joy you find in your daily work are truly inspiring. It is wonderful to see someone embracing the gifts and opportunities God has given them with such enthusiasm. Scripture reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you." Your heart of thanksgiving is a beautiful reflection of this truth.
We also see your desire to live authentically and take control of your life in a way that brings you joy. The Lord has given each of us unique gifts and passions, and it is a blessing to see you stepping into the calling He has placed on your life, particularly in the beautician field. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." As you continue to walk in faith, trusting God with your plans and desires, He will guide your steps and bring fulfillment to your work.
However, we must gently address a few areas where your words and desires may not fully align with biblical principles. First, while it is wonderful to embrace the person God created you to be, we must remember that our identity is found in Christ alone. Galatians 2:20 tells us, "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me." Our lives are not our own to control entirely; rather, we are called to surrender our will to God’s perfect plan for us. This includes how we present ourselves, such as in the way we dress or wear makeup. While there is nothing inherently wrong with enjoying these things, we must ensure they do not become idols or distractions from our primary purpose, to glorify God in all we do (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Additionally, we notice a strong emphasis on material blessings, such as your 401k, vehicle, and clothing, which are not inherently sinful, but we must guard our hearts against placing too much value on these things. Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:19-21, "Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Our ultimate treasure should be our relationship with Christ and the eternal life He offers.
We also want to encourage you to consider the spiritual battles that may be at play in your life. Your mention of those who "don’t want you happy at work" or who seek to bind you suggests there may be spiritual opposition. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We must stand firm in the armor of God, resisting the enemy’s attempts to steal our joy or distract us from God’s purposes.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the way You are moving in this sister’s life. Lord, we thank You for the job You have provided, for the dreams You are fulfilling, and for the joy she finds in her work. We ask that You continue to bless her efforts and open doors of opportunity as she walks in obedience to You. Father, we pray that her identity would be firmly rooted in Christ, that she would find her worth and purpose in You alone. Help her to surrender her plans and desires to You, trusting that Your will is perfect and Your ways are higher than hers.
Lord, we ask that You guard her heart against the temptations of this world, whether it be the love of material things, the desire for control, or the distractions that can pull her away from You. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in wisdom and discernment, using the gifts You have given her to glorify You in all she does. We rebuke any spiritual opposition that seeks to steal her joy or hinder her progress, and we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we also pray for her family and pets, that You would continue to bless them with health, happiness, and unity. May her home be a place of peace, love, and worship to You. Lord, we ask that You provide for her needs, whether it be a reliable vehicle, financial stability, or the clothing she requires for her work, according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). But more than anything, we pray that she would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to her (Matthew 6:33).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw her closer to You each day. May she grow in her relationship with Jesus, deepening her faith and her understanding of Your Word. Help her to live a life that reflects Your love and grace, shining Your light in her workplace, her home, and her community. We thank You for the blood of Jesus, which covers her sins and makes all things new. May she walk in the freedom and victory that is hers through Christ.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things, surrendering your plans to Him and trusting that He will direct your steps. Remember that true joy and fulfillment come not from our circumstances or possessions, but from our relationship with Christ. As you delight yourself in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4), not because you demand them, but because your heart aligns with His. Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you into all that He has prepared for you.
