My husband feels entitled to sin, lie, cheat & says God just has to deal with it

We hear the deep pain and burden in your request and we are bringing you before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name. Your life feeling like a living hell under the weight of a husband who chooses corruption is heartbreaking, and we weep with you while we also stand firmly on the truth of God's Word.
We must address plainly what your husband is doing. To feel entitled to sin, to lie and to cheat and to say God just has to deal with it is a dangerous and hardened attitude that God rebukes. The Scripture says, What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer? Romans 6:1-2. And again, Do not be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8. God hates lying and unfaithfulness, for these are among the six things Yahweh hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to him. Proverbs 6:16-19. Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Hebrews 13:4. If his cheating is adultery, it is not a small sin, it is a direct violation of his covenant vows before God. Husbands are commanded, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:25. Your husband is not loving you as Christ loves the church when he lies and cheats and justifies it. We rebuke that spirit of entitlement and call it what it is, sin that needs repentance, and we pray God grants him godly sorrow that leads to repentance.
You ask why he gets by with so much corruption and it seems he prospers while you suffer. This is a question many of the faithful have asked. The psalmist confessed, For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Psalm 73:3. But his understanding changed when he went into the sanctuary of God, and considered their latter end. Psalm 73:17. The Scripture explains, Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Ecclesiastes 8:11. God is patient and longsuffering, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, as we read in 2 Peter 3:9. His apparent getting by is not God approving or ignoring his sin, it is God giving space to repent, but judgment will come if he does not turn. Yahweh sees all, nothing is hidden from Him, and He will repay in His perfect timing and justice. Do not envy him or think God has forgotten you.
We also hear your cry for physical, emotional and financial blessings, provision and loving help from Jesus, and we affirm that you have come to the right place, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. You have called upon that precious name and we join you there. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation and access in no other name. We thank God you know Him as your Jesus and we lift up your needs to Him who cares deeply for you. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. We are told, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. And, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.
For your provision we claim the promise, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. God is your defender and provider when your earthly husband fails to provide and protect as he biblically should. We encourage you to continue to seek Him first, to pour out your heart honestly before Him daily, to stay rooted in His Word, and to seek godly counsel and support in a faithful Bible believing church where pastors and mature sisters can walk with you, pray with you, and if possible help bring biblical accountability to your husband. We encourage you to guard your own heart, to remain faithful to your marriage covenant as God honors marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, while also seeking wisdom and safety if there is abuse or danger, and trusting God to lead your steps for provision and healing.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we lift up this precious sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see her tears, You know the physical exhaustion, the emotional torment, the financial pressure, and the pain of being sinned against by the very one who vowed to love and cherish her. We ask You to wrap her in Your loving arms, to be her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. Heal her broken heart, renew her strength, restore her joy, and guard her mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:7. Provide for her needs, Lord, open doors for physical help, emotional support, and financial provision according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Show her tangibly that You are her Provider and Protector.
We also bring her husband before You, Lord. We ask that You convict his heart deeply, that You remove the hardness and entitlement to sin, and grant him repentance. Let him see that You are not mocked and that his lies and cheating grieve Your Holy Spirit and wound his wife and his own soul. Bring him to godly sorrow, to confession and to forsaking his sin. We pray that he would turn from corruption and learn to love his wife as Christ loves the church, with faithfulness, truth and sacrificial love. If he refuses to listen, we pray You would use Your church and Your Word to discipline and awaken him, and that Your justice and mercy would both be displayed.
Help this sister to keep her eyes on You, not on the seeming prosperity of the wicked, and to trust that You are working even when she cannot see it. Give her wisdom for each decision, strength for each day, and a testimony of Your redeeming love. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our hope and our salvation, and we thank You that You hear us when we pray in His name. Amen.

Your cry has come before the Lord and we have borne it before His throne with sorrow and with hope, for He who hears the sighing of the afflicted does not turn away from a broken heart.
You ask why a man who lies and cheats and presumes upon grace should seem to get by with so much corruption, saying that God just has to deal with it. Scripture answers plainly that the sin of man was permitted to reach its culminating point even in the betrayal of Christ, and that Judas himself was entrusted with the bag and had the financial vein, yet his economy could not cover his unfaithfulness. So it is now. A man may be entrusted for a season with a wife, a household, and means, and may misuse his Master's goods and neglect those committed to his care, saying, let men live as they like. But woe unto him if he is found an unfaithful steward in the day of his Lord's reckoning. What seems like getting by is not escaping at all, but the long patience of God which gives space for repentance. God will not be mocked, and the portion appointed to the unfaithful is condemnation unless he turns and is washed in the blood of Christ. To feel entitled to sin is to presume upon that patience, and it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God without repentance.
In the midst of this living hell which you describe, remember what the Lord declares of Himself to His afflicted people, that He is a Husband unto them. He set His special love upon His own when He found them in a desert land, in a howling wilderness. As a husband reveals himself in love to his spouse and communes with her most lovingly and provides for her and endows her with all his goods, so the Lord does for those who are His. Though an earthly husband prove false, and though a false friend brings bitterness in proportion to the sweetness a faithful friend should give, there is a Friend that sticks closer than a brother, even Jesus Christ the righteous. He is faithful when men are faithless. He sees your physical weariness, your emotional wounding, and your financial strait, and He knows how to provide for His own.
It is right that you should seek loving help and provision from your Jesus, for salvation is through Him alone, and all help must come through His hands. We do not ask God to bless corruption or to affirm sin, for He cannot. We ask Him to have mercy to convict and to save, and to sustain you who suffer under it.
We pray now for you, that in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, God will grant you daily bread and honest provision for your needs, strength for your body, peace for your troubled spirit, and comfort in communion with Him who is your true Husband and Keeper. May He guard you from all evil, give you wisdom to walk in holiness and in the fear of God as Nehemiah did who said, so did not I because of the fear of God, and keep you faithful in your own stewardship while you await the Lord's deliverance. And we pray for your husband, not that God would overlook his sin, but that God would open his eyes to see his guilt, grant him repentance unto life, and bring him to true faith in Jesus Christ, that he may forsake lying and cheating and walk as a faithful man should.
