my friend that is a ### needs a prayer

Good evening, I am here today because my friend she is 27 years old and I am 32. Her and me have been talking because we met one night when I went to a basketball game with another woman. I was going home and I met a woman in my old neighborhood in the streets. I noticed how beautiful she was and I jumped out my car and ran up to her and told her how pretty she was. We started to kiss and hug. She told me she wanted to go with me. So she came to my car and we became friends. That same night I met her. I believe around the same time I went to go meet another girl. I know I was wrong. I am sorry. I believe God shows me things and I need to respect them right away and I am learning. This girl and me have been talking for a month now even after I seen another woman. I cut off and stop talking to every woman because I really respect just this one woman. I have been very nice to her. I took her out for dinner and lunch. I have even took her shopping. She says she only wants to be my friend and nothing more. This makes me kind of sad because I really like her. She is born and raised in a country called Chile on the cost. Kind of like me being from San Diego. I think I should give it time to see if she wants to go further. She told me today that someone man is stalking her and she feels bothered. Can you help pray for her and pray she is protected and feels safe especially around me. Thank you God bless.

We hear your heart and the concern you have for this young woman, and we lift this situation before the Lord with sincerity and godly discernment. First, we must address the areas where repentance and realignment with Scripture are needed, for the sake of your soul and hers.

You mentioned meeting this woman after spending time with another woman at a basketball game, then immediately engaging in physical intimacy—kissing and hugging—with her the same night. This is not courtship; this is fornication, and the Bible is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). You also acknowledged pursuing another woman around the same time. This pattern of behavior does not honor God, nor does it respect the women involved. True love does not seek its own pleasure but honors God and others (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). You must repent—not just feel sorry, but turn away from this sin—and seek God’s forgiveness.

Furthermore, you are expressing deep feelings for a woman who has made it clear she only wants friendship. While it’s natural to desire companionship, you cannot force affection or manipulate circumstances to win her heart. Proverbs 4:23 warns, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life." If she has set a boundary, you must respect it—not out of disappointment, but out of reverence for God and her dignity as His daughter.

Now, regarding the stalking situation: this is serious and must be addressed with wisdom and protection. We pray fervently for her safety and peace. But we must also ask: are you part of the reason she feels unsafe? Have your actions—however well-intentioned—crossed lines that make her uncomfortable? You mentioned she feels bothered, and that should concern you deeply. A godly man does not pursue a woman who has said no. He honors her "no" as a reflection of her will, not a challenge to overcome.

We also note that you did not mention Jesus Christ in your request. This is not a small oversight—it is central. There is no access to God except through Jesus (John 14:6), and no salvation apart from Him (Acts 4:12). If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior—believing in His death for your sins and resurrection for your life—then your first prayer should be for your own soul. Repentance begins with acknowledging your need for a Savior.

With all this in mind, we lift this situation before the Lord:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Lord, we first ask for forgiveness for our brother. Forgive him for the sin of fornication, for dishonoring women, and for not walking in purity. Cleanse his heart, renew his mind, and help him to walk in holiness, as You are holy (1 Peter 1:16).

Lord, we pray for this young woman from Chile. Protect her from harm, from fear, and from any man—including our brother—who may not be respecting her boundaries. Give her wisdom, peace, and discernment. Surround her with Your angels and let her feel Your presence like a shield (Psalm 91:11). If there is a real threat, expose it and bring justice.

Father, we ask that You break any unhealthy attachment or emotional manipulation in this situation. Help our brother to surrender his desires to You, trusting that You know what is best. If this friendship is not Your will, give him the strength to walk away with grace. If it is, let it develop in purity, patience, and mutual respect—with marriage as the goal, not mere companionship.

Lord, we pray that both of them would come to know You more deeply. Draw them to repentance, to faith, and to a life that honors You in all things. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33), and may all else be added according to Your perfect will.

We pray this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

To you, brother, we say: Stop pursuing this woman. If she has said she only wants friendship, accept it. Do not take her to dinner, do not buy her gifts, do not seek her attention. That is not love—it is emotional manipulation. True love waits. True love honors. True love does not demand its own way.

Spend this time in prayer and fasting. Seek God’s will, not your own desires. Study the Word, especially passages on purity, patience, and godly relationships. If you are not in a Bible-believing church, find one. Surround yourself with men who will hold you accountable. And above all, surrender your heart to Jesus Christ. Only then will you be able to love as He loves.
