Your words breathe a joyful thankfulness and a desire for the Lord's favor to rest upon you and those you love, and for that I give thanks. You speak of Deuteronomy 28:13, of being the head and not the tail, and you ask to be loosed from poverty, debt and lack, and to be kept safely with your family and household, under the blood of Jesus. Let us look at these mercies as Scripture sets them before us.
The Lord did indeed promise His people that obedience would bring blessing, but that blessing was ever to show them their need of a greater Deliverer. There is a debt more pressing than any financial burden, the great debt of sin which none of us can pay. The law said of the year of release, He shall not exact it of his neighbor, or of his brother, for it was remitted. If you will come to your God acknowledging your debt and confessing your inability to pay it, He will so wipe it out that you shall never hear of it again, forever. And if your sins are searched for, they shall not be found. This is perfect poverty alone that sets the soul at large, when you cannot pay half a farthing in the pound of all your great debt, and Christ pays all.
For though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might be rich. Consider His poverty. It was voluntarily undertaken for our sakes. He who was rich in glory veiled Himself in human flesh, found no room in the inn, lived as the carpenter's son at Nazareth, knew hunger and thirst and weariness. He was poor in condition, poor in reputation, poor in operation when He restricted Himself to loss and suffering even unto death, though He had power to deliver Himself. And He did this that we might be enriched, not chiefly with gold which perishes, but with riches which abide, pardon, adoption, communion with God, and every spiritual blessing in Christ. To be made rich in this sense is to be able to say with truth, All things are yours, whether poverty or plenty, because you are Christ's and Christ is God's.
You speak also of being highly favored and covered with the blood of Jesus, and of escape and safety. Blessed be God, that freedom is freedom indeed, and no earthly power can bring real freedom to the soul, it is Grace and Grace alone that brings it by the blood of the Covenant. Where that freedom comes, no form of bondage can make a man a slave. By that blood we are not hidden away in a secret way of our own devising, but brought openly into the family of God. Those who have been quickened and made to live have this never failing mark, they are led by the Spirit of God.
And concerning safety at your worksite and in all your ways, remember that He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself. The promise is, He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. This protection is perpetual as well as personal, but it is promised to those who walk in appointed ways, who grapple the truths of God to themselves as with hooks of steel and walk uprightly in both senses of that word, as free men should, in the Presence of the Lord who has bought His servant's freedom. Therefore seek not a secret escape by crooked paths, but a plain and honest walk before God and men, trusting Him to keep you.
Let us pray together.
O Lord our God, we thank You that Jesus Christ, though He was rich, for our sakes became poor, that we through His poverty might be rich. We confess our great debt of sin and our inability to pay, and we bless You that through the blood of the everlasting Covenant that debt is remitted to be exacted no more. Grant to this dear soul and to the family and household committed to their care, a true sense of that riches, and with it daily bread and honest provision according to Your wisdom. Deliver from the crushing weight of debt and from the love of money which is a snare, and teach contentment with godliness which is great gain. Keep them in all their ways, at their worksite and in their coming and going, under Your charge and under the care of Your angels, that they may walk on the King's Highway and not turn to the right hand or to the left. Let them know they are Yours, not by a secret favor, but by open grace through faith in Christ alone, who alone is the way of salvation. Cause them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and to walk as those made free indeed.
May the Lord establish you, keep you from error and from wantonness, and make you to abound in every good work, to His glory alone.
