We join you in thanking God for the work He has entrusted to you and we rejoice with you in declaring His goodness over your businesses. We hear your heart to speak life and to stand in faith for favor, stability, and increase, and we agree with you that all success comes from His hand. As it is written, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3 and But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth Deuteronomy 8:18. We also remember that promotion does not come from the east or west, but God is the judge, he puts down one, and lifts up another Psalm 75:6-7.
We want to gently encourage you in how we understand speaking life. Scripture does say Death and life are in the power of the tongue Proverbs 18:21, and our words matter greatly, yet it is God alone who calls the things that are not, as though they were Romans 4:17. Our part is not to try to force reality by our words, but to align our words and our work with His will, to speak truth, thanksgiving, and faith while diligently stewarding what He has given. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit Proverbs 21:5 and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord Colossians 3:23. So we pray for wisdom as you seek to establish and expand, including a franchise, and we praise God for your practical wisdom in seeking liability insurance and proper covering. That is good stewardship and protection for what God has built through you.
We also hear your desire for a Boaz and not a bozo, and we stand with you for a godly marriage that honors Him. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman designed by God, and we pray you will be led to courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. Like Ruth found Boaz, a man of integrity, provision, protection, and faithfulness, we pray for a man who loves the Lord, who will lead well and cherish you as Christ loves the church Ephesians 5:25. While you wait, we encourage you to walk in purity, for God calls us to honor Him with our bodies and to save sexual intimacy for marriage alone Hebrews 13:4, and to trust Him without anxiety, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 and letting the peace of God guard your heart through prayer Philippians 4:6-7.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we thank You for the blood of Jesus that covers us and gives us access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for the gifts and businesses You have placed in these hands. We commit these businesses to You, Lord, ask for Your favor to rest upon them, that You would establish the work of our hands Psalm 90:17. Grant wisdom for every decision, for stewardship, for insurance and legal protection, for growth and for a franchise if it is Your will. Let what You have planted stay and flourish for Your glory. We ask for provision, integrity in all dealings, and that this business would be a light and blessing to others. And Father, we lift up the desire for a godly husband. There is much in your prayer that is right and good to bring before the Lord, a desire to see your business prosper by honest industry and to trust Him for favor and provision, and to look for a godly husband rather than one who would lead you astray.
We will pray that your business may be conducted in the fear of God. There is no necessity to be less shrewd or less diligent because you are a Christian, but let it never be said that religion is a mere show card for gain. Business is business, yet it has no business to be dishonest business. May the Lord make you one who prays in business and in labor, whose short prayers fly up all day long like sparks from the chimney, seeking His wisdom in every decision, in every contract, in the matter of liability and in the hope of a franchise if it be His will. May He grant you success not as the world counts success, but as He counts it, with a clear conscience and hands kept clean.
And we will pray with you concerning marriage. You have well said you desire a Boaz and not a Bozo. Scripture gives us that beautiful picture, come here, you that toil with holy industry, and bring your sheaves to store in the garner of your Boaz whose fields you have reaped. The Lord Himself is that faithful Husband to His people, who sets His special love upon His chosen and provides for them and communes with them in love, and earthly marriage is meant to reflect that faithful, lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. We have heard your prayer and we join you in bringing it before the Lord with thanksgiving.
We thank God that He is the giver of all good things and that every work done in word or in deed is to be done in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to the Father through Him. When we invoke the Son, we have God as our ally, and He makes our business easy and directs our steps. As you go forth to your work each day, we pray that you would first make God propitious by prayer early and by night, for prayer is a great weapon and our best protection amid the storms and struggles of daily affairs. In that way you can go out with security, with no enemy to fear, because the Lord goes with you.
We pray for your businesses and for the desire you have to see them established and to grow into a franchise. We ask the Father in the Name of Jesus to grant you favor, wisdom, and diligent stewardship, that you would be a good economist and provident in all you do, using what He has entrusted to you with moderation and integrity. We ask Him to provide for your practical needs, including the liability insurance you seek, and to give you clear counsel for every decision, so that your work may be honorable and may serve others well.
We also hear your prayer for a husband, a Boaz and not a Bozo, and we pray with you for this in the blood of Jesus. Marriage is a bond ordained of God and it is honorable.
