We join with you in thanking God for the business He has entrusted to you and we agree with you in asking that He use it as a platform for your career development, growth, learning, leadership and excellence for His glory.

We love your heart to build with wisdom and to see your work become a channel of employment, service, innovation and prosperity. Scripture teaches us that our work is a stewardship and a calling. Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. And Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established. We also remember James 1:5 which says If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. God is the one who gives us power to get wealth and ability to create and lead, as Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us, But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant. Your desire to build sustainable systems, create opportunities, develop people and solve meaningful problems is pleasing to Him when it is done with integrity, diligence and love for others.

We also want to gently encourage you that you closed your request without mentioning the name of Jesus Christ. We bring this up in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we have not put our trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, our prayers and our work cannot truly be aligned with God's eternal purpose. We encourage you to ensure you have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, confessed your sin and received His forgiveness and new life, and then to bring every request to God in Jesus' name.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this business You have entrusted to our brother or sister. We thank You for the skills, opportunities and responsibilities You have placed in their hands. We ask that You establish the work of their hands and guide every decision. Grant them wisdom from above to build sustainable systems, to lead with humility and excellence, to develop people well and to solve meaningful problems that serve others and honor You. Connect them with godly mentors, faithful partners, good organizations and divine opportunities that will sharpen their skills and expand their influence for good. Let their business be a light in the marketplace, that others may see their good works and glorify You, as Matthew 5:16 teaches. Help them to remember that whether they eat or drink or whatever they do, to do all to the glory of God as 1 Corinthians 10:31 says. Keep them from pride, from dishonest gain and from weariness, and give them strength to work heartily unto You and not for men. We commit their plans to You, trusting that You will establish their steps according to Your perfect will. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Father, we thank You for the work You have placed in our brother's hands. Give him wisdom as he leads, builds and serves, and guide him to the people and opportunities You have for him. It is good that you begin with thanksgiving, for your business is not your own but a stewardship entrusted to you by your Father. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord and not for men, and in that spirit your labour becomes worship.

You have asked that your work might be a platform for growth and excellence, and here is a sure principle, if you make your own business God's business, you will do your business well. You need not turn aside from the way of business to serve your Father, for it is sweet employment to serve Him just where He has placed you. Christ himself was about His Father's business, and that same business took Him through sweat and service even to glory where He sits at the right hand of God doing His Father's business still. To be about your Father's business in your shop, your office, or your field is to be useful in your day and generation.

Seek then that wisdom which no man has unless it is given him by the Holy Spirit. There is a laudable diligence in business without which it cannot be properly carried on, but there is a line scarcely as broad as a razor's edge between diligence and greediness for gain, and the heart may pass from one to the other hardly aware. Pray therefore for wisdom to build with integrity, to create sustainable systems, to develop people and to solve meaningful problems, not for mere increase but for faithful service.

Remember also that while your hands are full of business cares, the Christian's great business remains to teach transgressors God's ways that sinners may be converted unto Him. Your one business in life, above all other things, is to lead men to believe in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, and every other thing should be made subservient to this one objective. Let your business then be a pulpit without leaving your calling, a channel of employment and service and innovation where Christ is honoured in honest dealing, in kindness to those you employ, and in the plain truth of the Gospel spoken in season.

We pray with you that the Lord will give you wisdom to build well, connect you with mentors and partners and opportunities that sharpen your skills and enlarge your usefulness, and make your work fruitful for the good of others and the glory of His name. May He keep you diligent and not covetous, excellent and not proud, and may He use all that you do to show forth His grace. May the Lord establish the work of your hands and let your influence be for His praise.

Your thankfulness for the work God has entrusted to you is a good and right beginning, and I join you in giving thanks for it. To see your business as a stewardship and not merely as your own possession is itself a sign of grace, and your desire to work with all your heart as unto the Lord, as Colossians 3:23 teaches, is pleasing to Him.

I encourage you to seek the wisdom that comes from God above all other wisdom. The wisdom of this world can teach methods and systems and strategies, but it terminates here and cannot by itself make a man truly wise or his work truly profitable before God. As Scripture says, we speak not a wisdom of this world which is coming to nothing, but the hidden wisdom of God which He ordained for our glory. Worldly wisdom trusted to itself alone becomes foolishness, even when it seems impressive. The wisdom that is from above makes a person prudent in what is true prudence, to use what he has been given for the good of others and for the glory of God.

Therefore pray not only for skill and influence, but for that spiritual wisdom which teaches you to build with integrity, to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God in all your dealings. Sustainable systems, good leadership, and meaningful service all flow from a heart that is first faithful to Christ. When your work is built on this foundation, it will truly become a channel of service to others, providing honest employment, solving real needs, and bearing fruit that remains.

I also encourage you to be discerning about the mentors and partners you seek. Connect yourself with those who will sharpen not only your skills but your character, those who fear the Lord and will speak truth to you even when it is not profitable. Influence without godly character is empty, but influence shaped by the Spirit can be used for lasting good.

Let us pray together. Father, we thank You for entrusting this work to Your servant. Grant wisdom from above to steward it well. Teach how to build faithfully, to lead with humility and excellence, to create opportunities for others, and to solve problems in a way that honors You and serves neighbors. Provide relationships that encourage growth in skill and in holiness, and keep this business from being merely a platform for self advancement, making it instead an instrument of service, provision, and good in the world. May all that is done be done with all the heart as unto You, and not unto men, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
