My boys

I pray that my boys come back to me.

When my kids first moved in with me I was anxious and uneasy around them because I could sense by their words and action that they did not want to be there with me. At that time the weeks they were at my house were frustrating because I could never figure out what to say or do with them to make it better and the weeks when they were not there were more relaxed and enjoyable because I was with Dave.

When they left February 3, 2008 I was heartbroken. I cried for many months and remain very sad to this day. I finally got a court order that said I had them on alternating Tuesdays and every other weekend, however, that hasn’t happened once.

I don’t want to make them or force them to come to my house by giving them ultimatums. I realize that at their age they are busy with school and friends and it’s no fun to visit mom. But I also see the danger of losing a relationship with my kids if I don’t start seeing them on a regular basis soon.

I want to communicate the need for a relationship between mother and son to them. I want them to understand that they have to stay in contact with me to have a relationship and not just call me for rides or to buy them something.

Dear Lord Jesus~

You hear this mother's heart crying out to you. I pray she would continue to reach out in love and grace to her boys. I pray at the right time, these sons would want to see their mother, and share their lives with her. Draw them back to her by her loving ways I ask Jesus. We claim the restoration of this mother-son bond in Your Mighty Name, Jesus Christ."And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if faint not." Lord, I touch and agree with these prayers. I pray your hand over this situation, that you would keep this family together and that it would heal. I pray for a new bond between the boys and their mom. Give her wisdom and discernment to know what to say and when to say it, to reach out to them and give them the assurance that they are loved by her and she cares for them deeply. I thank you and praise you for what you will do in this family's life. Amen

Lord, I pray to you on behalf of this mom who misses her children. Divorce is a difficult and terrible trial which stretches the bonds between children and their parents and causes pain in all family members. Stretch Your loving arms around this family and allow for ruinification between this parent and her children. Let her sons see that they need their mother and should spend quality and loving time with her. Strengthen this woman, Lord, so that she does not lose heart and faith in Your plan for her. Amen
