Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your mother has been heard and I join you in lifting her up before the Lord. Your love for her and the weight you are carrying with a deadline pressing and no other family nearby to help is a heavy burden, and it is understandable that you feel overwhelmed.
Scripture teaches that anxiety can swell like a wave and choke the heart, but God invites us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us. He is not distant from your weariness or from your mother's sickness. He sees both and He is able to give rest to the weary and healing according to His mercy and wisdom. Do not be afraid to tell Him honestly that you feel at the point of breaking. He gives thorough security and freedom to those who bring their needs to Him with prayer and thanksgiving, and His peace can guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Please continue to seek appropriate care for your mother for this cough while you pray, and do not carry this alone. If there is a trusted pastor, church family, neighbor or friend who can sit with her for even a short time, or help with a meal or an errand, allow them to help you. Take brief moments to rest, to breathe, to pray and to step away when you can, and bring your deadline before the Lord as well, asking Him for clarity and strength for each task in its time.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I bring this mother before You. You know her cough and every symptom. Lay Your healing hand upon her, ease her breathing, take away what afflicts her and restore her fully according to Your will. Comfort her and let her feel Your presence. I also lift up her child who loves her so deeply and feels stretched beyond strength. Lord, calm the anxiety, quiet the fear, and lift the sense of being alone. Give peace that passes understanding, wisdom for each decision, strength for each duty, and provision for help and support in the days ahead. Sustain them both and remind them that You are near to all who call upon You in truth. Amen.
Be assured that you are not forgotten. Keep bringing your mother and your own needs to the Lord day by day, and keep reaching out for practical help around you. May the Lord grant your mother renewed health and grant you His peace and sustaining grace as you walk through this demanding season.
