We join you in lifting up your mum before the Lord and we carry your burden with you in prayer, asking for His healing and His peace over your home.
We hear how heavy this feels, caring for your mum while she struggles with this cough and its symptoms, facing a deadline and feeling alone with no other family to help. It is understandable to feel overwhelmed and close to breaking, and we want to remind you that God sees you in this pressured place and He invites you to bring all of it to Him. 1 Peter 5:7 says to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Matthew 11:28 reminds us Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Isaiah 41:10 also encourages us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We also gently want to point out that you asked the Lord for healing but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. We want to share why this matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can boldly come to God in prayer, trusting He hears us. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus as your Savior and to come to God in His name.
We pray together for your mum and for you.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear mother to You. You know her cough and every symptom that troubles her. We ask that You would touch her body and heal her fully, taking away this cough and restoring her health according to Your mercy and will. Psalm 103:3 says You are He who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and we ask for that healing hand upon her now. Give wisdom to any doctors or caregivers and guide decisions about her care. We also lift up her child who is carrying this burden alone while trying to meet a deadline. Lord, calm the anxious heart, quiet the feeling of being about to break, and pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen and sustain, provide rest even in busy days, and show practical help, whether through neighbors, friends, or brothers and sisters in Christ who can come alongside. Help with the deadline and give clarity, focus, and grace to complete what needs to be done. Let both mother and child feel Your nearness and Your care. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, trusting Your love and Your will. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring both your mum's health and your own stress to the Lord day by day, and to reach out for practical support where you can, perhaps to a local church family or trusted friends, so you are not carrying this alone. Please keep us updated so we can continue to pray, and do seek medical care for your mum if her symptoms persist or worsen, trusting that God often works through the care He provides.
