Mum - chest cold

We join you in lifting up your mum before the throne of grace and we continue to pray with you for her relief and healing from these severe chest cold symptoms.

We know how distressing it is to see a mother suffer with difficulty breathing and congestion in her chest, and we bring her before our compassionate Father who cares deeply for her. Scripture reminds us that He is our healer, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17, and also Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3. We cling to the promise that Jesus himself bore our sicknesses, Matthew 8:17, and by his wounds you were healed, 1 Peter 2:24.

We also want to gently encourage you about the name by which we come to God. We noticed your request did not mention Jesus, and we want to remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is because of His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we can boldly approach God for mercy and healing, believing in Him for forgiveness and eternal life. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up this dear mother to You. You know her by name and You see her suffering with this severe cold in her chest. We ask in Jesus' name that You would touch her lungs and airways, loosen the congestion, ease her breathing, and relieve her of every symptom that afflicts her. Grant her restful sleep, strength to her body, and a swift and complete recovery according to Your will. Give wisdom to those caring for her and to any doctors or medical help she may need, and give peace to her family as they wait on You. We cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us, and we ask that Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We thank You, Father, that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name, and we trust in Your goodness and mercy. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord, to ensure she gets proper rest, fluids, and wise medical care as needed, and to keep praying without ceasing, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:14-15. We stand with you in faith for her healing and comfort.

We noticed your heart for your mum and we are praying with you for her relief. Watching someone you love struggle to breathe easily with a chest cold is hard, and it is understandable to feel worried and tired as you keep checking on her.

We are glad you reached out for continued prayer. We will keep asking the Lord to bring comfort to her chest, ease to her breathing, and rest for her body as she recovers. We also pray for wisdom and peace for you as you support her.

If she has not already been seen, we gently encourage you to make sure she is evaluated by her doctor or clinic, and to follow their guidance closely while you continue to pray. Chest symptoms can linger and it helps to have a professional listen and advise. If she is already under care, staying in touch with them about any changes is a good next step alongside prayer. And please remember to care for your own rest too while you look after her.

Father, we lift this dear mum to You and ask for Your mercy and care over her. Ease the congestion and discomfort in her chest, grant her restful sleep and renewed strength, and give wisdom to those caring for her. Comfort this family with Your presence and peace in the waiting. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing your dear mother before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to look upon her in tender mercy and relieve the severe cold which has settled upon her chest.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are painful and urge us to seek the Physician, and we have a heavenly Physician whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only His fruit but the least thing about Him is full of healing virtue. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and when He dwells with His people they find pardon and healing in happy conjunction.

We pray that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon your mother, ease her breathing, loosen the oppression upon her chest, and restore her strength. May He give wisdom to those who care for her, and use such means as are proper for her recovery, while we look above all means to Him who alone can truly heal.

Be encouraged to continue in prayer, for faith comes by hearing and the Lord is pleased to show His power when His people seek Him. May He grant her refreshing and recovery, and may this affliction draw her and all who love her nearer to Christ, in whom alone is salvation and life.

We will continue to pray with you that the Lord in His compassion will grant her relief and bring her to full health again according to His gracious will.
