Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing these burdens and allowing us to pray with you. We are bringing both of your loved ones before the Lord and asking for His mercy and help in each situation.
We believe that God does heal, and that all true healing is from Him. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word or a touch, and sometimes He heals gradually through a process over time. He is not limited to one pattern. The healing He brings through the skill of doctors, through medicine, and through the natural processes He built into our bodies is no less divine than healing that comes in a moment, because He is the One who created those processes. In that sense every healing is a work of God.
At the same time there is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not know why some are healed quickly and completely while others continue to struggle, even when many are praying. Scripture shows us this mystery. The prophet Isaiah said that the Messiah would bear our infirmities and carry our sicknesses, and Matthew tells us that Jesus fulfilled this when He healed the sick among the people. Yet the apostle Paul prayed three times for his own thorn in the flesh to be removed and the Lord did not remove it, but gave grace to endure it. This reminds us that we cannot presume what God will do in every case, and we should never tell someone who is not healed that it is because of sin in their life or a lack of faith. That is not scriptural and it only adds hurt.
What we can do is come confidently to Jesus, who has all power in the physical and spiritual realm, who went about doing good and healing every kind of sickness, and who still cares deeply for those who suffer. We can ask Him to work, whether through a sudden touch or through the gradual means of treatment, and trust His wisdom and love with the outcome.
So we are praying for the one who has received an organ and is now facing mild rejection, that the Lord would guide the decisions of the doctors, that the needed treatment would be approved without delay by the insurance, and that the treatment would be effective in protecting the organ and restoring strength. We are also praying for your loved one with back pain, that the same provision would be made, that approval would come quickly, and that the care provided would bring real and lasting relief.
We ask the Lord to give you peace as you wait, to give wisdom to each medical team, and to make His presence known to both of those you love. May He comfort their hearts and yours, heal what can be healed according to His good will, and sustain you all with His grace day by day.
