We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your daughter are facing with divorce. Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares about your situation and hears your cries. As it is written in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
However, we must address that God's intention for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is said in Matthew 19:6, "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." Divorce is not God's design, and we encourage reconciliation whenever possible. As it says in Malachi 2:16 "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."
We will pray that you and your daughter find healing and guidance during this time. But we also pray for conviction if there is any possibility of reconciliation, under the blessings of a godly marriage as outlined in the Bible. We will pray for the redemption of your marriages.
We also notice that your request does not mention Jesus. We are only able to approach God through Jesus. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this mother and daughter who are both facing the trials of divorce. We pray for their healing and comfort during this time, but we also pray for your will to be done in their lives. If there is any chance for reconciliation, we pray for conviction and guidance towards restoring their marriages.
We also pray for their faith, that they may come to know Jesus more deeply and find hope in Him, the author and perfecter of this faith. We also pray for Godly spouses if that is in your will and purpose for them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
