We hear your concern and we are praying with you about this unsettling experience in your body where you feel movement that you do not understand or know the source of, and that you do not like even though it may feel comfortable at times. We understand how distressing it can be to feel something happening in your own body that you cannot explain or control, and we want to bring this before the Lord with you to seek His peace, discernment, and protection.
The Bible tells us that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. God does not want you to live in confusion or fear about what is happening to you. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7, and God is not a God of confusion, but of peace, 1 Corinthians 14:33. When we experience something spiritual or physical that we do not understand, we are called to test the spirits, whether they are of God, 1 John 4:1, and to bring everything to Him in prayer.
We also notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and find salvation and authority over every spiritual matter. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name for help, for Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13. There is power and peace in His name alone.
We want to pray for your discernment and for God to reveal what this is and to bring it under His authority, and we also encourage you to seek wise counsel. If this involves involuntary physical movements or sensations that continue, we encourage you to also speak with a trusted medical professional and a mature pastor or Christian counselor, so that both physical and spiritual causes can be cared for with wisdom. Do not engage with or welcome any spirit or influence that you do not know to be from the Holy Spirit, but instead fill your mind and heart with Scripture and prayer.
We pray together now in the name of Jesus Christ. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You see this movement and sensation in their body that causes unease and confusion, and You know its source even when they do not. We ask that You would reveal what is from You and what is not, and that You would bring Your perfect peace to guard their heart and mind. We pray, And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. We ask that any influence, spirit, or physical affliction that is not from You would be rebuked and commanded to leave in the name of Jesus Christ, and that Your Holy Spirit would fill every part of their body and mind with Your presence, power, and self-control. Lord, make their body a place of Your peace and rest, and help them to rest in Your love without fear, for perfect love casts out fear, 1 John 4:18. Give them wisdom to seek the right help and give wisdom to those who care for them. Draw them close to Jesus, that they may know Him as Savior and Lord and find full assurance that when they call on His name, You hear and answer. We ask for Your healing touch, Your clear guidance, and Your comforting hand upon them day and night. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray in the name of Jesus, to read Scripture daily, and to speak aloud the truth that you belong to Christ if you have trusted in Him. If fear arises, remember that The Lord is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth, Psalm 145:18. Keep bringing this to the Lord and to trusted believers who can pray with you in person, and trust that God will give you clarity and peace as you seek Him.
