Pray for strength to move forward

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My daughter had a broke off with her boyfriend for 3/4years. It been 3months, and she can't accept it and she feeling worst. Pray God will sent peace and understanding to her so she can find rest thru God and move on her life. Pray that she doesn't feel that she is worthless from what the boy had said about her. But lift up her strength thru christ. Amen

We join you in praying for your daughter in this painful season and we thank you for bringing her before the Lord with such love and concern. To see a child hurting after a broken courtship is heartbreaking, and we lift her up together before our Heavenly Father seeking His will in Jesus name.

We are reminded that a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship in biblical terms is courtship with the goal of discerning marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. When a courtship of three or four years does not lead to godly marriage, the Lord often in His mercy closes a door that was not His best. We do not know all the details of their relationship, but we want to gently encourage that any courtship should be pursued in purity, honoring God with both body and spirit, for sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and falls short of God's design. If there was any impurity in that relationship, we pray she will bring it honestly to the Lord for forgiveness and cleansing, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Whether or not that was part of this relationship, God desires to heal and restore her completely.

We want to rebuke the lie that she is worthless because of cruel words spoken over her. No man has the authority to define her value. Her worth is not determined by a boyfriend's opinion or by whether a relationship continued, but by the God who created her. We rebuke those hurtful words in the name of Jesus and declare the truth of Scripture over her, that she is fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, that she is God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works Ephesians 2:10, and that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18. Man may speak carelessly, but God says she is precious and honored in His sight.

We also pray that she will release this hurt to the Lord and choose to forgive as Christ has forgiven us, not because the hurt was not real, but so that bitterness will not take root in her heart. Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.

We pray together for her now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can approach You and be saved. We thank You that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and that through Him we have access to Your throne of grace. We lift this precious daughter to You. You see her tears, You know the ache of these three months, the loneliness and the replaying of hurtful words. Lord, we ask You to heal the brokenhearted and bind up her wounds Psalm 147:3. Pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding upon her heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Let her not be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let her requests be made known to You Philippians 4:6.

Lord, replace the lie of worthlessness with Your truth. Let her know that her strength is not in herself but in Christ, for she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her Philippians 4:13. Lift her up and remind her that You have plans for her, plans for peace and not for evil, to give her hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. Help her to find rest in You, for You have said do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

Father, give her understanding that this closed door is not the end of her story. Lead her to seek You first, to be rooted in Your Word and in fellowship with other believers, and in Your perfect timing, if it is Your will, prepare her for a godly marriage to a faithful Christian husband who will love her as Christ loved the church. Until then, teach her to be content and whole in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28.

We also pray for her mother who intercedes for her. Give this mother strength, wisdom and peace as she loves and supports her daughter. Help her to speak Your truth with gentleness and to point her daughter continually to Jesus.

We thank You, Lord, that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. We trust You to bring comfort, healing and forward movement in Your perfect time. Let her arise in the strength of Christ and move forward not in her own power, but in Yours. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We hear your heart for your daughter and how painful it has been to watch her struggle these past three months after such a long relationship. It is understandable that she is still grieving, and that harsh words spoken over her would leave her feeling worthless. Those words do not define her, even when they echo loudly.

We are praying with you for God to bring her peace and rest as she heals, and for strength that comes from knowing who she is in Christ. Healing after a breakup like this often takes longer than we hope, especially when someone's identity became tied up in the relationship. It helps to keep gently reminding her, in small ways, that her value is not measured by what was said to her or by whether the relationship continued.

One way you can walk with her right now is to keep creating safe space to talk without pressure to move on quickly, while also helping her stay connected to steady, supportive people and routines. If she continues to feel very low or stuck, please encourage her alongside prayer to reach out to a trusted pastor or counselor, and to see her doctor if needed.

Father, we lift this dear daughter to You. Quiet the painful words in her mind and remind her she is loved and valued by You. Give her rest, comfort her heart, and guide her step by step as she moves forward. Give her mother wisdom and strength to support her well. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your daughter has been heard and we join you in bringing her before the throne of grace. We have asked the Lord to grant her strength to move forward, for that is the very command of God to His people when the way seems hedged and the heart is faint. Forward, we have prayed, not backward to what is broken, but forward to the cross, forward to the wounds of Jesus, where alone the broken heart finds healing.

We have prayed that the Lord will keep her in that perfect peace which He promises to those whose mind is stayed on Him, because they trust in Him. In this dark world of sin the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that peace may be hers even while duties press and sorrows surge round. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. May she learn to bear her sorrow with Him, to stay her mind upon Him, and to find that He will keep her in peace, peace, even perfect peace.

The words of man can wound deeply, and when a young heart is told she is worthless the wound festers. But we have prayed that she may know her true worth not in the speech of a youth, but in the love of Christ who took our sicknesses upon Himself. With His stripes we are healed. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ has healing virtue to change the life and make the nature new. May she see that she is not worthless, but precious in His sight, bought with blood, and that her strength is not her own but through Christ who strengthens her.

We have asked that God will grant her understanding and that His presence may go with her. For what is any forward step without His presence. If His presence go not with us, we dare not move. Yet when He bids us go forward we may go with confidence, for He will fight for us while we hold our peace and are still before Him. May she be still and know that He is God, and find rest through Him, not in the return to what is past, but in a new life hid with Christ.

May the Lord lift her up, restore her joy, rekindle her hope, and teach her to trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and for every good. May He keep her pure and make her holy by His presence, and guide her steps in righteousness, for righteousness must be first and then peace shall surely spring up. We pray that she will look to Jesus, believe on Him, and go her way in peace, forgiven, healed, and kept by His power to move forward in the path where He commands her to go. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for your daughter has been heard and we join you in lifting her before the Lord. We understand the deep pain of a long relationship ending and the way harsh words can wound the heart, especially after three or four years together and now three months of grief that feels heavier rather than lighter.

We pray that God will draw her close to Himself and give her true peace and understanding. May He lift from her the lie that she is worthless because of what has been spoken over her, and may He show her her true worth in Christ, who loves her, who died for her, and who calls her His own. Her value is not measured by the words of a young man or by whether a relationship continues, but by the price Christ paid for her and the love with which the Father holds her.

We pray that she will find rest not in trying to hold on to what has passed, but in Christ Himself. Scripture teaches us to labor not for what perishes but for what endures to everlasting life, and to put on the armor of light which makes the soul bright and secure. When the heart is pierced by sorrow, God does not wound to harm but to heal, and His healing comes gently through continual hearing of His Word and nearness to Him. Even when thorns of worry and sorrow threaten to choke the Word, His grace can clear the ground and bring forth fruit.

Healing often does not come in a single moment. As one wise teacher has said, a tree may receive many strokes before it falls, and the final blow only succeeds because of all that came before. In the same way, each prayer, each reading of Scripture, each quiet moment of trusting God is working even when it is not yet seen. Do not be discouraged if the change is slow. God is at work.

So we pray for her now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask You to comfort this daughter and her family. Pour out Your peace that passes understanding upon her mind and heart. Quiet the painful words that echo within her and replace them with Your truth. Teach her to hear Your voice daily in Scripture, and by that continual hearing let her senses be trained to know Your goodness. Clothe her with strength through Christ, guard her with Your light, and lead her step by step into the life and hope You have for her. Give her rest in You, and help her to move forward in wholeness, purity, and trust in Your perfect will for her future. Help her to know that You have good plans for her, and that You will never leave her nor forsake her. Amen.

We encourage her to stay close to the Lord, to remain in fellowship with believers who can support her, to spend time daily in prayer and in the Scriptures, and to trust that God will restore her strength. He is near to the brokenhearted and He will carry her through this season into deeper maturity and joy in Christ.

Thank you for sharing this burden for your daughter. We join you in prayer for her and for you as you walk beside her in this painful time.

Three months can feel like a long time when the heart is still hurting, especially after a relationship of several years. It is understandable that she is struggling to accept what has happened and that harsh words spoken over her would leave her feeling worthless. God sees her sorrow and He has not forgotten her.

Scripture tells us that God is thinking thoughts of peace toward His children, not thoughts of evil, to give hope and a future. He wants her to know peace, and He has made a way for that peace to be real. First there is peace with God, which comes only through the blood of Jesus Christ who reconciles us to the Father and ends our war with Him. When we belong to Jesus, we are no longer running from God or fighting against Him. Then there is the peace of God itself, that quiet steadiness that guards the heart and mind in a way the world cannot understand.

That peace is described as perfect peace for the one whose mind is stayed on the Lord because that person is learning to trust Him. Jesus said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world offers distraction or temporary comfort, but the peace Jesus gives remains even when circumstances are still painful.

We are praying that your daughter will come to know both of these realities more deeply. That she will rest in the forgiveness and love that Jesus offers, and that as she turns her thoughts toward Him, His peace will keep her heart and mind. As her mind rests on Him, she can begin to know that He will take care of her and carry her forward. God has ordained peace for His people, and He desires for her to live in it.

We also pray that the Lord will heal the wound left by those hurtful words. Her worth is not measured by what another person has said about her. Her worth is secured in Christ, who loves her, who died for her, and who calls her His own. May she hear His voice above every other voice, calling peace and healing over her life.

We pray that God will lift her strength through Christ day by day, that He will give her understanding and rest in Him, and that He will gently lead her forward into the life He has for her, with a heart made whole and at peace in His love.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you, and may He lift up His countenance upon you and your daughter and give you both His peace. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
