Motive for asking

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My motive for asking urgently has nothing at all to do with unrighteousness. It is to help get school clothes for my grands help my son pay for his apt and to complete my travel plans. I would by no means even attempt to do anything against the Lird when I petition god forbid I am more respectful in that nature time is of the essence though is why I said the need is urgent and I still believe I have the answer in Jesus name. I just needed to clear that fact up thank you

We hear your heart and understand the urgency of your needs, providing for your grandchildren, supporting your son, and fulfilling travel plans that may hold significance. Your reverence for the Lord is evident, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that God sees your faithfulness and will move on your behalf.

Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." The Lord is not indifferent to the practical needs of His children, and He calls us to bring our requests before Him with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). Your dependence on Him is a testimony to your trust in His provision.

Yet, we must also encourage you to examine whether there are steps of wisdom and stewardship the Lord may be calling you to take alongside prayer. Proverbs 13:11 warns, "Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it." Have you sought counsel from your church community or explored resources that may be available to assist with these needs? Sometimes God provides through the hands and feet of His people, and we are called to both give and receive in love (Acts 20:35).

We also want to gently remind you that while urgency is understandable, our trust must remain in God’s perfect timing. Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." Even when the need feels pressing, we must guard our hearts against anxiety and rest in His sovereignty.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister/brother and their family. Lord, You see their needs, clothing for the grandchildren, provision for their son’s home, and the resources to complete their travel plans. We ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessing upon them. Provide in ways that only You can, whether through unexpected opportunities, the generosity of others, or Your divine intervention. Give them wisdom to steward what You provide and patience to wait on Your timing. Strengthen their faith as they trust in You, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways. Guard their hearts from worry, and remind them that You are their Provider. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, who alone is our hope and salvation. Amen."

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and thanksgiving, knowing that He is able to do "exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think" (Ephesians 3:20). If there are ways your church or community can come alongside you, do not hesitate to reach out, God often works through the body of Christ. Stand firm in faith, and may the Lord bless you abundantly as you honor Him with your trust.

We hear you clearly, and we're glad you let us know where your heart stands. There’s no need to convince us, you came asking in Jesus’ name, and we take you at your word. When needs pile up, school clothes for your grandchildren, rent for your son, travel plans, it’s natural to feel the press of time and to want everything to line up quickly. The urgency itself can feel like a weight, but it doesn’t make your request any less honoring to God.

We’ve found that when the timeline feels tight, it’s easy to start over-explaining or second-guessing whether we’re asking rightly. You can rest from that. God sees the love behind these practical needs, and He isn’t looking for perfect wording, just a heart that trusts Him. Sometimes the very thing He is building in us during a season of waiting is the quiet confidence that He already knows what we need before we ask.

While you keep praying, consider letting a few trusted people from your church family know what you’re carrying. Having others pray alongside you can deepen your peace, and sometimes God supplies through the hands of those who are near. In the meantime, don’t let the urgency drown out the truth that you are seen and loved by the One who owns every resource.

Father, thank You for this grandmother’s tender care for her family. You know the exact amount for uniforms, rent, and travel. Calm her spirit and open the way for provision, whether through work, unexpected gifts, or timely help. Give her peace in the waiting, and let her see Your faithfulness at every turn. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your petition is heard, and the urgency you feel is no barrier to the throne of grace; rather, it is the very thing that sends you to the mercy seat. The veil is rent from top to bottom, and the greatest needs find ample passage through that sacred way. Our Lord Jesus, who gathered the little children in His arms, cares for the garments that clothe your grandchildren and the shelter that covers your son. He is not indifferent when a mother or grandmother prays for such necessary things. You do well to clear your motive, for the heart is deceitful, but if you come in sincerity, desiring no unrighteous gain, then cast out fear. The Father knows your frame and remembers that you are dust.

Do not imagine that a request for school clothes and rent touches only earthly things. The Sunday school teacher who labors to feed the lambs knows that the soul of a child requires the same power that raised Christ from the dead, and yet even their bodies are not forgotten. The God who bade us pray, "Give us this day our daily bread," understands the need of your grandson's coat and your son's apartment. If you have set your heart to walk uprightly, do not fear that any petition for temporal mercies is unrighteous. The great Father delights to give good gifts to His children.

Yet remember, the same Spirit who teaches you to pray must keep you from seeking these things as the world seeks them. Labor with your hands, plan wisely, but let your confidence rest not in travel plans completed or bills paid, but in the promise of Him who cannot lie. He who rent the dividing wall will supply your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Pray with importunity, but also with the quiet heart that says, "Teach me to do Your will." And while you pray, look to those little ones. As you seek clothes for their bodies, seek all the more earnestly that they may be clothed with the righteousness of Christ. This is the school where the highest learning begins, to know the Holy Scriptures and through them faith in the Savior. What a blessed groundwork for faith your care can be, if it is accompanied by the life of true religion!

It may be that the very delay you feel so keenly is the Lord's way of drawing you nearer to Himself, that you might prove His faithfulness in the time of need. Press on in prayer, and let no thought of unworthiness hinder you; the rent veil invites you to come boldly. I shall pray with you that the answer you believe you have in Jesus' name will soon be seen with your eyes, and that in all things He will be glorified.
