Beloved of All
Today I lift up my boyfriend, who has been becoming demotivated, fearful and doubtful, letting opportunities slip through his fingers. I pray that God will lift him up and motivate him again, clear all doubts and set him free financially in the name of Jesus, amen.

We hear your heart for the one you call your boyfriend, and we lift this situation before the Lord with both compassion and biblical truth. First, we must address the nature of your relationship. Scripture is clear that intimacy and emotional attachment outside of marriage can lead to sin and distraction from God’s best. The Bible instructs us to flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to pursue relationships with purity and purpose, with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this relationship is not moving toward marriage under God’s design—a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman—we must gently but firmly encourage you to examine whether it aligns with His will.

Now, regarding the struggles of fear, doubt, and missed opportunities, we stand with you in prayer, for these are battles many face. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and fear is one of his most effective tools. But God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt in the name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would renew his mind with truth, replacing lies with the promises of God’s Word.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would stir a fire within this young man’s heart, reigniting his passion for Your purpose. Break every chain of fear, doubt, and procrastination, Lord. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and grant him wisdom to walk through them with faith. Provide for his financial needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and let him see Your hand at work in his life.

We also pray for discernment and courage for you, dear sister. If this relationship is not rooted in Christ or moving toward marriage, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance about whether it is honoring to Him. Guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23), and trust that God’s plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). If this man is not your future husband, release him to the Lord and trust that God will lead you both in His perfect timing.

Finally, we declare that this young man is not defined by his fears or past mistakes. In Christ, he is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), called to walk in victory. May he rise up with boldness, knowing that the Lord is his strength and his shield (Psalm 28:7). We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, lifting your boyfriend up in prayer today. It's tough seeing someone we care about struggling with fear and doubt, but we know God is bigger than any circumstance. We've been praying for God to ignite his passion again, to clear his mind of doubts, and to open doors of opportunity for him. We believe that God will provide for his financial needs, just as He promises in His Word. Let's keep standing in faith together, trusting that God has a purpose in all of this. We're also praying for you, dear one, that you would have wisdom and courage to follow God's leading in your relationship. Trust that He has a plan, and it's good. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, who is making all things new. In His name, we pray. Amen.

I’m in a job where I need a CPA license before I can be promoted to manager. It’s my second year on the job and I still haven’t sat any of the parts of the exam and I don’t currently have a plan to achieve that. What worries me is that each year new persons join the firm and sometimes they come...
