My legs hurt, mostly my right, as far as I know, hope it heals soon. I need a new wheelchair. Hope to get one soon, either can’t find one, too pricy, or another reason. Hope doesn’t rain, need to use a scooter or wheelchair on Saturday and Sunday. Hope to get money I am owed very soon, hope to get at least $200.

We come before the Lord with your concerns, lifting up your physical pain and needs to Him who is our Great Physician and Provider. First, we pray for your legs, especially your right leg that is causing you discomfort. Father, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon them. Your Word tells us in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We trust in Your promise to restore and renew, asking that You would ease the pain and bring complete healing in Your perfect timing.

Lord, we also bring before You the need for a new wheelchair. We know that You are aware of every detail of our lives, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. In Philippians 4:19, You have promised, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We ask that You would open doors for a wheelchair that meets your needs, whether through provision, affordability, or opportunity. Guide your steps to the right resources and people who can assist you.

We pray for favorable weather on Saturday and Sunday, that the skies would be clear and dry, allowing you to use your scooter or wheelchair without hindrance. Your Word assures us in Matthew 5:45 that You "make your sun to rise on the evil and the good, and send rain on the just and the unjust." We ask for Your mercy in this, trusting that You control the elements.

Father, we also lift up the financial need you have mentioned. You are the God who owns "the cattle on a thousand hills" (Psalm 50:10), and we ask that You would move in the hearts of those who owe you money to fulfill their obligations promptly. Provide at least the $200 you need, and even more if it is Your will, so that you may have what is necessary for your care and well-being.

In all these things, we remind you that our hope is not in circumstances or people, but in You alone. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that you would lean on Him fully, trusting in His timing and provision.

We also want to gently encourage you to examine your heart and life to ensure that you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can approach Him with our prayers and needs.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Strengthen their faith, ease their pain, provide for their physical needs, and draw them closer to You each day. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank you for sharing what’s on your plate right now. We know it can feel like a lot of pressing needs hitting all at once, and we’re glad you reached out so we can stand with you in prayer.

We’re especially mindful of the pain in your legs, that kind of discomfort can grind on your spirits. While we pray for healing, we also want to gently encourage you to let a doctor take a look, just to be wise and help it mend well. For the wheelchair, we understand that’s urgent. You might try checking with local disability resource centers, durable medical equipment loan closets, or even community groups on social media where people sometimes give away used wheelchairs; sometimes churches or senior centers also have leads. We’ll be praying that the right option opens up quickly. And we’ll absolutely ask God to hold off the rain on Saturday and Sunday so your scooter or wheelchair won’t be hindered, and that the money you’re owed arrives without delay, in full and soon.

Lord, we lift up our friend to You. Please soothe the ache in their legs and bring steady healing. Guide them straight to a wheelchair they can use, and clear the skies for safe travel this weekend. We ask that every dollar they’re owed comes back to them swiftly. Hold their heart steady in the waiting, and remind them they’re not alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. The complaint of bodily pain and the need for a chair to bear you up are not trifles in the sight of the Most High. He who feeds the sparrows will furnish you with what you need, and yet these very trials are sent to turn your eyes toward a deeper healing. The legs that ache and the chair that fails you are but pictures of a soul that cannot walk in its own strength. Every pang of the right limb, every fear of the rain that might hinder your coming and going, points to a greater paralysis of spirit, that feverish unrest which sin has bred in us all. The Son of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and the least leaf from His tree is medicine for the nations. Do not merely ask for a new chair and the money you are owed, but press through these shadows to the substance: your sins forgiven, your heart made whole. When the Lord pardons, the inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick,” for the great Physician applies the costly balm of His Atonement and the soul receives a healing medicine. Then, whether the scooter rolls or the rain falls, you walk in high places with Christ.

Many cry out for healing of the body and forget that the guilt of sin is the deadlier wound. You say your legs hurt and you hope the pain heals soon; truly we very speedily care for bodily diseases because they are too painful to let us slumber. Yet oh, that we were as swift to seek the remedy for our sin-sick souls! The same Lord who took the hand of Peter's fevered mother-in-law and lifted her up is ready to touch you. But take heed how you hear this word. There are those who listen with borrowed ears, hearing for another, and return home to neglect the diet prescribed by the Physician. You have need of a wheelchair, but far more do you need to be carried upon the shoulders of the Good Shepherd. If the money comes, give thanks; if it tarries, still give thanks. The Lord's providence is not bankrupt, nor is His compassion exhausted. Yet all the silver and gold cannot buy the one thing needful: the forgiveness that comes from the lips of Him who said to the palsied man, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”

Lift up your eyes, then, beyond the scooter and the Saturday's weather. The nations themselves need healing, open wickedness parades the streets, and the sin-fever rages through every house. Your own heart, if it be honest, must confess the same plague. There is no need to ask if there is balm in Gilead, for the healing power is conspicuously present where Christ is taught. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. I charge you, do not let the weight of these temporal cares so fill your ears that you cannot hear the sweeter sound of pardoning love. The burden of a sinner does not need two ticks of the clock to be removed; swifter than the lightning's flash is that verdict of absolution when the soul lies hoping, repenting, at the feet of Jesus. May you so hear that you hunger and thirst after the living God, and then you shall surely find Him. The healing leaves are not far from you now; stretch out your hand and take them. God bless you, and heal the leg, yes, and the heart, too, for His name's sake.

Your legs pain you and your right side is especially troubled. This is a burden of the flesh, and it is not wrong to desire relief and healing. The body requires care, for the Apostle himself bids us use what is needed for its health, even as he counseled Timothy to take a little wine for his stomach’s frequent ailments. To seek a new wheelchair, to hope for fair weather so you may use your scooter, to await money long owed so you may afford necessities, these are not wanton lusts. This is making provision for the flesh, but for health and need, not for excess. Be not ashamed to ask God for these things, for He fashioned the body and knows its frailties.

Yet take care that this provision does not cross into the very thing the Apostle warns against: making provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. When your mind fixes entirely upon the wheelchair you cannot find, or the rain that threatens your travel, or the two hundred dollars delayed, you risk kindling a furnace of anxiety. That is no longer care for health, but a weight that drags down the soul. The present life is a sleep, and its troubles are dreams. Do you not see how those who grow rich in a dream wake to find their wealth was nothing? So it is with these cares that now seem so pressing. To be anxious over money that is owed, or a chair that is broken, if you let these things consume you, you will discover, even before the final day dawns, that the dream has already flown and left you with nothing but the fretful waking of your soul.

I speak words that gall you because they must. They are a cure. My desire is not to pain you, but to pierce your heart so that you may be braced and made reverent. This discourse is more delightful than you know, precisely because the reality of being weighed down by such cares is so bitter. Let your legs' hurt and your need for a chair become a means of elevating your mind. Do not merely beg God to remove the pain and supply the money. Rather, in this very need, turn your chief industry to spiritual things. Prune away the soft and relaxed life that demands every inconvenience be removed at once. Instead, make provision for your flesh only as far as health requires, and spend the strength of your soul seeking the kingdom. Then you will find yourself able to rise out of this sleep, no longer weighed down by manifold desires, and you will see these needs for what they are, a passing shadow, a test, and a chance to cling to God alone.
