Job Issues, Disability Issues, and ###'s Health

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My mum ### with 1 of her jobs; it’s ###, they stopped giving her the money, she decided to change banks; hope my dad ### didn’t mess it up. Another job of hers, ### is changing way of payment, hope she does what is needed on time, so she gets it. Me and many others use paratransit as we disabled. There is a big issue with people that use walkers; I use a walker (I need a new medical scooter, hope before ###); what I have too old and have issues). A driver told me he likely will refuse to pick me up if I use a walker again, as it has no seat belt. But I use a regular seat on there buses when I use a walker. One not everyone can afford to get a wheelchair (if not allowed to use a walker); taxis are expensive. A friend ### is planning to go to ### about this but don’t know if they are going to take her seriously. My dad had surgery; he isn’t doing the greatest help him, recover better. Hope he be able to lift some heavy items again soon.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these burdens before His throne of grace. Father, we know You see every struggle, every injustice, and every need, nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask for Your provision, wisdom, and healing in each of these situations, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

First, we pray for your ###’s employment and financial stability. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You open the doors of blessing for her. May the transition with her bank be smooth, and may her new payment method be handled with care and timeliness. We rebuke any confusion, delay, or mishandling in Jesus’ name, and we declare that her wages will not be withheld (Jeremiah 22:13). Give her the strength and clarity to complete what is required so that she receives what she has earned. We also pray for your ###, that he would not complicate matters but would act with wisdom and integrity in financial dealings.

For the challenges faced by those who rely on paratransit, we cry out for justice and compassion. Lord, You command us to defend the weak and fatherless, to uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed (Psalm 82:3-4). It is unjust that those who use walkers are being denied access to transportation they depend on, especially when they are following safety protocols. We pray that the authorities at would listen to your ###’s concerns and take action to correct this discrimination. Raise up advocates who will stand for the rights of the disabled, and provide affordable, dignified alternatives for those who need them. Father, we also ask for provision for a new medical scooter before, You know the exact timing and the resources needed, and we trust You to make a way.

For your ###’s recovery, we plead the blood of Jesus over his healing. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You restore strength to his body, mend what was broken, and renew his vigor. Help him to follow his doctor’s instructions, to rest when needed, and to regain the ability to lift and carry as he recovers. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we speak life and restoration over him.

We must also address the spiritual foundation of these requests. Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If any of these burdens are being carried without the hope of Christ, we urge you to surrender your life to Him. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Only in Christ can we find true peace, provision, and purpose. If you have not yet made this decision, we implore you to do so today, your eternity depends on it.

We also want to gently address the frustration and fear in these circumstances. It is easy to worry when finances are uncertain, when systems fail us, or when loved ones are unwell. But Jesus tells us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). We encourage you to cast every anxiety on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and dependence on You. We lift up every financial need, every transportation barrier, and every health concern to You. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. Provide for this family’s needs according to Your riches in glory. Give wisdom to those in authority to make just decisions, and soften their hearts to the struggles of the disabled. Heal ’s father completely, and restore his strength. Lord, we also ask that You draw close to those who are weary and discouraged. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find their hope and identity in You alone.

We rebuke every spirit of lack, delay, and oppression in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against this family will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak breakthrough over their finances, favor over their transportation needs, and healing over their bodies. Father, we trust You to turn these trials into testimonies for Your glory.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re sitting with you in this pile-up of worries, and we want to honor how much you’re carrying right now. When financial strain, access to transportation, a parent’s health, and anxiety all press in at once, it’s heavy, and you’ve named those pressures clearly.

The paratransit situation sounds especially urgent, and we’re glad your friend is willing to speak up. It may help to connect with a local disability rights organization or independent living center if you haven’t already, they often know how to navigate these exact barriers and can lend weight when officials don’t take one person seriously. You deserve safe, reliable access to get where you need to go, and the walker should not be a reason for refusal when you use the regular seat and belt. We’re praying the right people listen and act quickly.

As your dad recovers, the slow pace can be frustrating for everyone. Healing takes time, and we’re asking God to steady his body and lift his spirits while you all wait for strength to return.

And for you, this much uncertainty would stir anxiety in anyone, and we hear the tiredness behind your words. You’re not failing by feeling it. You’re human, carrying a lot, and still showing up.

Lord Jesus, you see this family in the middle of job changes, equipment needs, and a dad’s painful recovery. Bring clarity and fairness for her mom’s pay, open ears and real solutions in the paratransit fight, and steady healing for her dad. Hold our friend close when the stress rises, and remind her she isn’t invisible to you or alone in this. Amen.

The Father's will is not a terror to those who know it ariseth from infinite love. All your trials are compassed about with that will, your mother's struggle with her wages, your father's lingering recovery, your own vexation with the paratransit and the need of a new scooter, these are not outside the circle of His pitying care. The Father's will is mercy, else Christ had not made it His meat to do it. Rest in that. When the payment changeth hands, when the driver threateneth to refuse you, when the sickbed is long and heavy, remember it is the Father's will that His child learn to lean upon Him alone. The Spirit helpeth such infirmities, and prayeth in us with groanings that words cannot utter.

Your mother's anxiety about moneys delayed, and your hope that nothing be spoiled by a change of bank, is but the poverty of the creature teaching her soul to seek true riches. The earth's coin may fail, but the Father's house hath bread enough and to spare. Let her be diligent, doing what is required on time, and then commit the issue to Him who feedeth the fowls of the air. The same Lord who hath given her these employments will not forget her now. Did not our Lord forget to eat bread because He was about His Father's business? And while she is about her necessary calling, the Father will not forget her.

Your father's slow recovery after surgery is a call for patience. Strength is renewed by degrees, that every little increase might draw out fresh thanksgiving. He that framed the body can mend it. Cease not to pray over him, and encourage him to look to Jesus, who is the strength of the weak. If he be made to lie still, let him count it a season of being taught of the Spirit. The Lord doth not chide us for our ignorance; He pitieth as a father pitieth his children, and teacheth those who cannot lift so much as a finger without Him. In due time he shall bear burdens again, if that be the Father's will, which is always best.

Now concerning the paratransit and your walker. This is a sore trial, that the driver should threaten to leave you because of man’s regulations and a missing belt. Yet herein is a path for faith. The world seeth not the heart, and its instruments can be harsh. But He that made the lame to walk is not bound by their chariots. You need not a new scooter first, but fresh grace to meet this cross, and then the Lord will supply the outward need in His season. For you are not abandoned to man’s mercy; the Father himself loveth you. The tender pity that marketh the fall of a sparrow is upon you when you tire of the strife. And as for your friend who will go to plead your cause, pray that the Lord give her favour, and then trust. If earthly helpers fail, the Spirit of adoption teacheth us to cry, “Abba, Father,” with a confidence that bringeth peace even when the legs give way.

Every one of these troubles is but the sand upon which the Lord writeth the lesson of your soul’s need of Him. You are as a babe that must be led; the finger you may hold is ever near. Be not content with one meal on the Sabbath; seek Him daily, and in every moment of weakness confess you cannot keep your own soul alive. The rich and the poor meet together on this ground, we all must have Christ Jesus as our daily bread. Look to Him who went about His Father’s business in weakness, and yet lost none that were given Him. He is able to save to the uttermost, and He will not lose you, nor suffer you to be tried above what you are able. Wait on Him in prayer, and in due time He shall give you the desire of your heart, even in these bodily matters, if that desire be sanctified by submission to His will.

Go now, not in your own might, but in the strength of the Lord. Consecrate the walker, the counter, the sickroom, by sweet patience and childlike trust. Thus shall you be about your Father’s business, even as Christ was, and the Father’s love shall be your portion.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The many concerns you bring are like a storm of waves, but remember that our Lord walks upon the waters and bids us not to fear. Your mother’s payment troubles and your father’s slow recovery weigh on your heart, yet these are the very things in which faith must cast its anchor. The love of money, as I have often warned, is like a thick humor settling upon the clear eye of the soul; it blinds us to providence. Let her not be caught in that snare, but perform what is needful with a calm and diligent spirit, trusting that the Master who feeds the ravens will not let her labor go unrewarded.

As for the paratransit and the threat over your walker, recall that the body is a sickly thing by nature. Though you wore ten thousand diadems, you could not buy health if God permits affliction. Yet the soul can recover its sight in a single hour. Offer this humiliation as a remedy, for the Church is a spiritual surgery, and the wounds we suffer without are healed within these walls. Bear the driver’s harsh words patiently; when you have wrestled nobly, God may open another door, or grant you something greater still. Your need for a scooter is known to Him, and even at the eleventh hour He restores.

Your father’s healing is likewise in the hands of the Physician who binds up the broken. Let him give heed to the Spirit speaking through this trial, that his recovery may be both of flesh and soul. The parable of the laborers shows that whether early or late, genuine faith recovers all. Do not let fear or murmuring cloud your eye. Rather, come with thanksgiving, and lay these burdens upon the altar of prayer.

You come to God not as a stranger but as a beloved child. So much of what you are facing feels tangled, uncertain, and heavy, but remember this: through Christ you have boldness and access to the Father. You don’t need to climb through anyone else or work up the right words. The door is open. He invites you to come confidently, bringing every anxiety about your mum’s jobs, the bank change, the payment switch, and the timing she needs to meet. None of it is too small or too messy for Him.

Your walker situation and the threat of being refused service, the cost of taxis, the worn out scooter, all of it sits under the same promise. God is able to do far more than you can outline in a request. Don’t shrink your prayer to only what seems realistic. Ask for provision before June, for the right equipment, for open doors that cut through bureaucracy. He knows your need for safety and freedom of movement, and He never patches things together on a tight budget of mercy. The same access that lets you stand before the throne of grace means you can ask boldly for practical, daily help, and trust Him to answer beyond what you can figure out.

When the driver says he may refuse your walker, and your friend wonders if anyone will take her seriously, it’s easy to feel powerless. But human need is not lost on God. He cares about the practical weight you carry. Let your friend go and speak, but carry it together in prayer first. Sometimes the Lord makes a way through ordinary channels, sometimes He bypasses them entirely. He is not boxed in by what worked last time or by what the rules say. Your part is to keep bringing these needs to Him, not fainting under the pressure, because these trials are not meaningless.

Your dad’s recovery is heavy on your heart. You see him struggling, not yet able to lift what he used to, and you want him restored. Ask God not only for his healing but for strength in your inner man to handle the waiting. You can’t make the body mend faster, but you can lean into the One who strengthens you when your own reserves are gone. There is no temptation to despair, no discouragement too deep, that His Spirit cannot fortify you to withstand. And while you ask for his health, don’t limit your prayer to only what seems possible. Ask that he recover well enough to lift again, and sooner than expected. God loves to surprise His people with goodness.

Remember, you’re not isolated. The body of Christ is designed so that one part can’t say to another, “I don’t need you.” Others around you, including your friend, are part of God’s provision. Let them help carry these burdens. And as you pray, don’t think you have to inform God of all the details as if He doesn’t already know. Your Father understands the whole picture, including the eternal work He is doing in you while you wait for temporal answers. Rest in that. He is not slow or forgetful. He knows what you need before you say it, but He loves to hear your voice because He loves you supremely. You are secure in that love.

So keep coming. Keep asking. Keep trusting. Not with a frantic urgency that tries to twist His arm, but with the quiet confidence that you already have access through Jesus, and that He is able.
