Your thanksgiving for the Lord's daily love, mercy and grace is good and right, and I join you in giving thanks to Him for His kindness to you.
I have heard your request that God would provide for you financially so that you can build your homestead and develop your residential stand, and I bring that request before the Lord with you. It is right to ask God for what you need, to work diligently with your hands, and to desire to establish a home where you can live in peace, care for your family, and show hospitality to others.
As you pray for this, I encourage you to hold both your earthly home and your heavenly home before God together. Scripture teaches us not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but to provide for what is necessary for health and for faithful living. That means we may care for our bodies and our homes, use what God gives with thanksgiving, and build with wisdom, but we do so without going beyond what is needful into excess, pride in outward display, or a soft and indulgent life that kindles desire. Spend your chief industry on spiritual things, seeking to have your life rooted in Christ.
Remember also that faith is like a foundation, and a good life is the building raised upon it. The foundation must lead to the whole house, and the beginning of faith must lead on to maturity and completeness. As you plan to build, ask God not only for walls and a roof, but for grace to grow into full assurance of faith and purity of life, so that your home is built on Him.
And hold fast the hope that Scripture gives us, that if the earthly house of our tent is taken down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. The present life is passing like a dream, and riches gained only for this life fly away, but what is built in Christ endures. So seek first that eternal building, and trust God to provide what you need for this life according to His wisdom.
Let us pray together. Father, we thank You for Your steadfast love, mercy and grace that You pour out daily. We thank You for this one who looks to You in trust. Provide for his needs according to Your perfect will, grant him wisdom and diligence in his finances and in his work, and help him to build with honesty, contentment and generosity. Keep his heart from coveting excess, and fix his hope fully on Christ, that whether his earthly house stands for many years or for a short time, he may have confidence in the eternal home You have promised to those who are Yours. Guide his plans, establish the work of his hands, and make his home a place of peace and service to You. In the name of Jesus our Lord we ask this, Amen.
