more quality time with Jesus Christ

We join you in this beautiful and holy desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, and we rejoice that the Heavenly Father has placed this hunger in your heart. This is the greatest pursuit of all, to know Him more deeply and to abide in His presence. As you have asked in the Name of Jesus Christ, we come together before the Father with confidence, for Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
We are encouraged by how Scripture calls us to this intimate fellowship. The Lord says in Psalm 27:8, When you said, Seek my face, my heart said to you, I will seek your face, Yahweh. And we are promised in James 4:8, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. The Father delights when we set aside time to be still before Him, as Psalm 46:10 reminds us, Be still, and know that I am God, and when we remain in Christ as John 15:4 teaches, Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. Your desire to seek Him is already evidence of His Spirit drawing you.
We pray together now for you. Heavenly Father, we thank You for this dear heart that longs for more of You. We ask in the Name of Jesus Christ that You will help our beloved to spend more and more quality time with You, to hunger and thirst for Your presence above all else. Draw them into the secret place, give them discipline and joy to seek You early and to linger with You throughout the day. Open Your Word to them and speak clearly as they read and meditate, and teach them to pray without ceasing and to listen for Your still small voice. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness as Matthew 6:33 promises, trusting that You will order their days to make room for what matters most. We pray You will guard this time from distraction and weariness, and that You will fill it with Your peace, Your wisdom, and Your love, so that they may be transformed and bear much fruit for Your glory. Let them seek You with all their heart and find You, as You have promised in Jeremiah 29:13. We ask all this in the precious and powerful Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The Lord is not measuring minutes, He is welcoming relationship.
We also find it helps to remove one distraction ahead of time, like leaving your phone in another room, so that time feels more settled and focused on Him.

It is a blessed and holy desire which the Lord Himself has kindled within you, to spend more and more quality time with Him, and we may be sure that He who gives the desire will also satisfy it. For truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son, Jesus Christ, and He has talked with His people as a man talks with his friend, and the strongest sense that can be attached to that sweet word communion is yet tame in reference to the believer's connection with the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
You do well to seek Jesus Christ Himself, for He is to occupy all our thoughts. His Bible, His day, His Church, His ordinances must all be precious to us because they have to do with Him, but in the forefront of all must always stand the personal, living, loving Jesus. Looking unto Jesus is better than looking unto our own progress, and a vision of Christ is the most filling thing in the world.
Let me stir you then to wait much upon God and gather spiritual strength for labor in His service. I fear that the most of us are so little in retirement, so seldom in communion with God in private and even when there the communion is for so short a time, that we remain dwarfs and never attain to the stature of a perfect man in Christ Jesus. But what holy affections, what blessed excitements have those who are much alone with Christ. Such a soul never has a cold heart or a slack hand who is much in meditation with his Lord Jesus.
Do not bind Christ with cords by not reading His Word. That is a poor shut up Bible that is never allowed to speak with you. Untie the cords, let it have its liberty, commune with it sometimes, and come and break your fast with Jesus, for it is the Lord Himself who lovingly condescends to commune with you and in a wonderful way prepares the feast.
Remember also that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever. He will be changed in no respect throughout the whole of your life. Throughout eternity there shall still be the same Jesus Christ with the same love to His people, and they shall have the same familiar communion with Him. Therefore be steadfast and spend your time with Him who never changes.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we thank Thee that Thou hast drawn this heart to hunger for more of Thyself. Grant now, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, who is anointed to be Priest and Prophet for His people, a larger measure of grace to wait upon Thee, to meditate upon Thy Word, to pray in the Holy Spirit, and to walk day by day in Christ and for Christ. Cause this dear soul to know Him more intimately, to understand with all saints the love of Jesus in its height and depth and length and breadth, and to find that supping with Jesus restores the soul and renews the love of its espousals. Keep this one from being carried about with strange doctrines or worldly distractions, but fix the heart upon Jesus Christ Himself, who is our Captain, our strength and our victory. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Your desire to spend more and more quality time with Jesus Christ is a good and holy desire, and we gladly join you in bringing it before the Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus Christ.
We pray that God will increase your hunger for His presence and help you to set apart time each day to be with Him. May He draw you into deeper fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, for it is through Him and in Him that we have grace and peace from God the Father, and it is in Him that we are sanctified and cleansed. Ask the Father to help you to call upon the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ with a sincere heart, and to confirm you and strengthen you as you wait upon Him.
To make room for this time, consider decking your house as for a King with prayers, supplications and vigils. These are the true decorations that welcome Christ. While you have opportunity, store up confidence beforehand and gather oil in abundance by laying up treasure in heaven through prayer and the reading of Scripture. Do not seek mere relaxation, but give yourself wholly to these holy employments. When you spend your time in this way you block the approach of the enemy, who finds entry through leisure and idle curiosity, and you learn to watch and be sober. Even a short time of faithful toil each day will bear great profit for the future.
So let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for putting this longing in this heart. By Your grace and loving kindness, help Your child to walk closely with You, to seek You early and to remain with You through the day.
