more quality time with Jesus Christ

We rejoice with you in this beautiful desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, for this is the very heart of our faith and the greatest need of our souls. This longing itself is from God, as He draws us into deeper fellowship with Himself. We are encouraged by your hunger for Him.
The Scripture teaches us to seek Him with our whole heart. As it is written, You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart Jeremiah 29:13. We are also called to be still and to abide in Him, for Jesus said, Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me John 15:4. And we have the precious promise, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you James 4:8. To spend quality time with Him is to seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness Matthew 6:33 and to sit at His feet like Mary, choosing the good part that will not be taken away.
We want to encourage you to set apart intentional, undistracted time each day to be with Him. This means coming before the Heavenly Father in prayer, reading and meditating on His Word which is a lamp to our feet and a light for our path Psalm 119:105, worshiping Him in spirit and truth, and simply being still before Him as He says, Be still, and know that I am God Psalm 46:10. It is not about striving or checking a box, but about communion, listening for His voice, confessing our sins, giving thanks, and letting His Word renew our minds. As you are faithful in the small moments, He will enlarge your heart for more of His presence.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the hunger You have placed in our dear fellow believer to know You more and to spend quality time with Your Son Jesus Christ. We ask in the Name of Jesus Christ that You would help us all to draw near to You daily, to love Your Word, and to delight in Your presence. Forgive us for the times we have allowed busyness, distraction, and the cares of this world to crowd out time with You. Help our friend to establish and protect a quiet place and time to meet with You, to hear Your voice through Scripture, and to speak with You in prayer with an open and sincere heart. Fill this time with Your peace, Your wisdom, and Your transforming grace, and cause the fruit of abiding in Christ to be evident in every area of life. Draw us ever closer, Lord, that we may know You more deeply and love You more fully. We ask this in the precious and powerful Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

What a blessed desire the Lord has kindled in your heart, to spend more and more quality time with Himself. This hunger is itself a token of His grace, for it is He who daily loadeth His people with benefits and draws them to His table. Jesus still says as He did by the sea, Come and break your fast. He is thoughtful of your wants and spreads the true bread of His Word and presence before you, that you may have stamina for the fight and strength for long service. We rejoice that you seek not a merely outward or mechanical religion, where many press near yet never touch Him, but a real contact with Christ Himself, that inward touching of faith where life and love flow from Him to you. Such fellowship often lies in still waters, deep and quiet, yet most sure.

Heavenly Father, we come in the Name of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our only Saviour, and ask that Thou wilt help this dear soul to spend more and more quality time with Thee. Grant grace to come daily and break fast with Jesus, to sit at Thy table and feed upon Christ in the Scriptures, to pour out the heart in prayer and to mingle praise with every day, saying, Every day will I bless Thee. Teach him to bring every hard question and every burden to Jesus, for with Thee all things are possible, and to hold this world with a loose hand that he may live in union with Christ. Keep him from weary night toil apart from Thy presence, and make his communion sweet, constant and fruitful. Having once lived with Jesus, grant that he may never live without Him. In the Name of Jesus Christ we ask it, Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
